In reference to my above post, you said plugs looked fine, but did you replace em anyway? If not, try new ones.

Seems like a big stretch with only 2600mi or so on it...valve adjustment? I'm at a loss too.If you have put in new plugs, new gas, and all else is working, only thing I can think of why it would be off would be valve adjustment.

I have the exact ramp for my truck as well, very handy. F150, 6.5' bed. From taking ramp out of garage, unfold, strap it on, go back up to garage pull sled onto truck, unfold ramp, strap everything down...5mins or so, ready to go.

I gutted the muffler on my 07 Apex, I didn't unhook the battery. I rode it all last season with no issues. The welder is grounded right on the muffler, can't see how the ground would travel anywhere else.

Had 2007 Apex ER, had 8700 miles on it, bought it with approx 7500, engine never gave me problems, just start, let warm up, and go. Just bought a very well maintained 2012 XTX with 7971 on it, not even worried about miles. The chassis will wear out before engine will.

From vids I've seen, I just don't see how any SW, reflashed or not, that could hang with an APEX with 8-10 lbs of boost. Just don't think it would be close. I could be wrong tho...

Ok, this isnt my sled, but a friends, just trying to help out. I said all of these solutions in past. Told him up north last weekend, maybe plugs. valve adjustment, texted him pulsar coil a few days ago...which might be it, and it's cheap. Thanks for help tho folks!

Stator is basically an alternator, correct? Could a guy have sled running, check voltage output at jump wires hooked to battery with multimeter? IDK, maybe not that simple. But I would think if those wires show like 13-14 volts, stator is working?

Plugs are brand new, as is the fuel.

Let me expand here...even with jumper cables on it, spinning over fast, when cold, it still is a bear. But like I said, once its been ran for a while, it fires up, but sometimes it fires up reluctantly, gotta spin it over a bit before it goes. Need some ideas folks. Thanks.

Have a friend with 2006 Apex, 8000 miles on it. OK, problem is this, when cold, sitting overnight, is a real bear to start. Even have to hook up jumper cables to it for it to spin fast enough to start. On straight battery, will pop over here and there, but not fire off. Once warmed up, is fine...

My 07 has just shy of 8500 miles on it, I'd ride it across the country if I could. Very reliable sleds.

Especially the older Arctic Craps, they always stink terribly.
