I’ll start it off:
I’m thankful for my wife who encouraged the purchase of the new Winder this year. I would not have spent the money for this without her being onboard!
I had a conversation with a suspension shop tech last week. He suggested that no one uses the firmest of the 3 compression options found on the QS3R shocks. I have yet to ride a Winder so I don’t know...
What have the LE owners found while on the trails? Are all settings usable?
I have used Ice Attack prestudded tracks on a couple sleds and like them very much. I am considering installing one onto my new Winder too and came accross this one at CB : http://www.cbperformanceparts.com/camoplast-tracks/ice-tech-series/ice-attak/ice-attak-16-x-137-9134h/
I like the looks of...
Just a little feedback...
Rock's kit was a simple install!
No wires to cut. No power to supply. Just plug and play...secure the boxes & wires and you're done!
Didn't get out yet at night but in the garage they are much brighter than stock and look great! I installed the same kit into my wifes...
I have decided to add these shocks to the front of my "project Apex" this season. I had them valved to my weight and riding style and also calibrated to work with the new M-20 skid. They said they have valved before with the M-20 and should compliment it's shock valving well.
Anyone try...
Thinking of installing a 136" M-20 into my 128" Apex SE. Wondering if it will fit or if a tunnel extension and rear heat exchanger reposition is required?
Guys,
I am getting a shock assembly from a Std Apex mono to install in my 11 SE.
My question is: has anyone come up with a way to adjust the rebound clicker using a shock mounted knob rather that the RA cable system?
I'd prefer to have the adjustability at the shock rather than having...
My wife tried it and now I can't get her hands off of it!
She no longer likes her Phazer and we don't want to spend the money
to get her a Vector... Dilemma!
No joke, this thing is easier to ride than the Phazer. Love it!
I'm hoping to hear some happy snowfall totals from the Adams/Friendship, Wis Rapids, Plover, Redgranite, Wautoma, Westfield, Coloma, Montello areas.
Looks like quite a storm came through. I'm headed up to that area the day after Christmas and looking forward to some great riding!
As a starting point I set my limiter strap at the second from shortest position and transfer half way between Min and the mid point to Max. That is where I had my Attak so I thought I'd start there with the SE.
I ride trails and don't care much about drag racing. My preference is for better...
I am aware of some guys here using Garmin "Montana" GPS units. I'm wondering if anyone is using any of the iPhone apps available for backwoods navigation.
I have a waterproof case for my iPhone and a handlebar mount for it that I use on my bike for recording cycling trips. I could mount the...
In looking over the "New-To-Me" SE I found the rear exchanger has been struck by the studs when the suspension has compressed all the way. I was thinking of installing an additional 1/4 " of aluminum the entire length of the tunnel protectors but found this would make it too tight between the...
New to me SE has an HID kit installed and 3 picks in each row of the track (up the middle). Aside from that it is stock with 389 miles on the clock.
I am not big on making the sled faster... more into handling and I ride trails.
I have read through Mr. Sleds threads re: Ulmers air...
Winter is over for me so when my wife suggested last weekend that I think about getting a car for myself as a daily driver instead of my pickup truck my internal wheels started turning. I thought to myself..... what would provide a snowmobiling type thrill while awaiting my next opportunity to...
First of all I have not experienced any cold start issues, but have started this thread to gain some knowledge about the (New to me) fuel injected 4-strokes.
On most or all auto's, if a cold engine fails to start right away and begins to flood the engine with excess fuel, by depressing the...
I have always been a fan of floating the secondary and have installed aftermarket products to my Doo's in the past to achieve this. Upon jumping ship to Yamaha this year I was pleased to find that my Attak has a floating secondary. What I was unimpressed with however was the steps involved in...
Yesterday afforded the opportunity for me to get the first 20 miles on what has the potential of being labled "The best sled I have ever owned." Now that the hard break in is completed its oil change time and point it towards the UP for some serious smiles!!!
My idea of "Best" is different...
Yes boys...they are here in August! :-o :-o
Just hung up the phone....Dan at Highlands will have it ready for pick-up tomorrow at 2:00 (07 Attak GT....Red). Just how far north will I have to trailer it to find snow???? JK.
Dan asked me if I wanted them to set it up with a battery cable...
Prior to our riding season this year. My wife and I have decided to invest in safety equipment. We will be looking to purchase body armor and I would appreciate any input or advice as to brand preferences and why. Additionally we will be purchasing the LED lighting system for the left side front...
