    Tear down

I actually had the external plates riveted into the outside of the tunnel where the cross shaft bolts mount. It stopped it from being more catastrophic than it was/could have been at least. At a minimum it stopped the bolts from pulling completely though the side of the tunnel during my failure.

    Tear down

I have to agree, I bent a stock shaft, broke the rr shaft and took out my tunnel with it. Rr shaft failed during regular trail riding at about the 3500 mile mark for me. Luckily my dealer got the tunnel replaced under warranty for me. I now have the BOP sleeve over a stock shaft and 2500 miles...

Best cluthses for snowdragracing with Sidewinder ?

I have zero interest in either company and I'm not aware or concerned if either is a site sponsor here currently. The OP asked for suggestions of the best clutch. Not the best site sponsored clutch company or the ones because someone has more posts on this particular site and platform. You'll...

Best cluthses for snowdragracing with Sidewinder ?

Last I knew the "snow outlaws" circuit were the only runs modifying the surface of the starting line with crusher dust. Which will allow for bigger power to be put down at the starting line. The typical circuits here in ny and pa etc wether flat or hill drags you are on regular snow that's...

Best cluthses for snowdragracing with Sidewinder ?

STM or Pro 4. I'd lean a little on the pro 4 based on grass results I've seen from some or the fastest 998 turbos currently out there. Just personal preference but having personally seen/touched/inspected both clutches I'd go with the pro 4 for my own build when it's time to lay my money down...

    Storm 150 Track Reviews

@MrSled I am just running 1.575 gold diggers 144 inside and out pattern. The outside getting the better penetration in this case where the lugs are tapered down. I tried that setup these past 2 seasons to get a better feel for the track itself overall. I had adequate traction on icey corners and...

    Storm 150 Track Reviews

MrSled I have about 3000 miles on mine now, 2 seasons. 2017 LTX LE TD tuned and studded day 1 from the install of the storm 150 track. Mine is showing zero signs or premature wear or failure. I absolutely love the track in comparison to the stock 1.25 ripsaw I ran the first 2 season (3000...

Installed the BOP Snow free intercooler guard.

They did/do a decent job at low trail speeds to bring the temps back down when slow cruising and there isnt much air flow to help cool the temps. You could watch a few degrees comes off the temps. Nothing huge or remarkable but there was a change in that scenario. At any sustained speeds they...

    Storm 150 1st season update

Damn that's the 3rd one I've heard of tearing lugs off. Put one on my 17 LTX LE last season and rode about 1500 miles (crappy winter in western NY. Low mileage total for me for a season but trips were my main source of those miles last year ) I absolutely loved the track. Minimal stud pattern...

Why dont vendors do custom tunes

If you want to see anything like that you'll need a racers data log from grass or ice. You won't likely get that on regular loose snow ever. Between track spin and potential even momentary belt slip etc. Very different from a car log because of the conditions we have to work with. I have piggy...

Why dont vendors do custom tunes

I dont think you are understanding the abilities of a fully standalone ecu vs the hassle of what your asking for with an ecu custom tune. With the option for multiple upon multiple sensors and inputs you can create multiple maps yourself for your different riding areas or conditions or days. Or...

Why dont vendors do custom tunes

As Dave said anything can be done. But if you want that level of customization a full stand alone ecu would be your best option if you had the ability and know how to tune it yourself. Eliminate the waiting for files back and forth. Then you can do multiple changes and testing in the field with...

Who has tuned sidewinder that rides in ny.

The max spool 16 is great corner to corner, spools up quick and will hit 16/17 psi of boost very rapidly. I also have cold air intake, billet bov, and their 3 bar map sensor upgrade to get the absolute most out of the setup. From there like anything good clutching and/or gearing changes for...

Who has tuned sidewinder that rides in ny.

I ride and live south of Buffalo NY, and make at least 4 trips a season to tug hill/old forge. Average about 2000 miles per season on my 17 Ltx le. Tuned since day 1. First season I ran 2 different aftermarket mufflers. First was too loud for mine or landowners liking im sure so ditched it in a...
