Sell 17 Sidewinder LTX SE and buy newer or keep it?

Absolutely can keep it. That thing looks mint! I too maintain my equipment so it all looks new and runs great. I have 9,900 miles on my 2017. Had to replace chaincase (my fault), put a new track on and plan on replacing every bearing in the suspension and drive line and sending the clutches out...

    What to buy?

No doubt. Dynamix and the ski doo version are great. Ride a buddies XRS also. I guess the best way to describe my not going with them is. It’s like comparing an American sports car to a European one. Sure the sure the EU one is engineered excellent and checks all the boxes except one. The raw...

    What to buy?

All the test reporters seem to think so. Even those in the tank for ski doo IYKWIM. A buddy rides arctic cat and he rides tough. Rides a 900 RR and No issues with his catalyst 858 for two seasons. I guess they had exhaust valve and airbox issues they fixed

    What to buy?

Oh I will not get rid of my sidewinder period. Best sled I ever owned. Plus fun to get on Apex once in a while. Just thinking try new something newer while supporting a US company. You are right about poodog.

    What to buy?

So I missed out on buying a last edition SRX which would have been perfect with power steering and adjustable handlebar and shocks. I had just rebuilt the chain case on my 2017 RTX LE and really like that sled plus just a timing thing. Anyone with young teenagers in sports knows time is just a...

Sell 17 Sidewinder LTX SE and buy newer or keep it?

Well, I have just over 12,000 miles on my 2017. I have run a max 17 TD tune for 10,000 of the miles. Very good on maintenance as well. One issue did come up and that was a hairline crack in the chain case, that i thought was just a gasket leak. Unfortunately, ended up toasting the gears and all...

Polaris announces introducing carbon fiber into snowmobile chassis

They have had this for a while. I remember seeing it on a buddy’s sled years ago unless its a new formula.

    Chain case replacement

Just put mine in due to a crack this past winter. Who new those bolts got loose ending up in a cracked case. Yes be careful to put them in straight and torque carefully. Fortunately case comes with bearings and seals already mounted.

Your next sled is going to be???

This is a great question considering the reality of Yamaha faithful. What to do. I too don't see anything that stands out other than a 2025 srx, if there are any left. Nevertheless, I just refreshed my entire drive train with new parts for $1,600 and sled is like new. I have a 2017 129 RTX LE...

    Time to Refresh

Pretty much done. New drive shaft also, as the other was done and i got break on the new one. By the time I took the original to a machine shop, plus the cost, it was well worth the new one. With the BOP kit and new bearing from the onset, it should be good. Love the sled but what gets...

Reverse won't engage unless no resistance on drive line

I found this sled likes the belt a little lower in the sheave than normal. I run an ultimax exactly even or just slightly under, which has worked for me.

    Time to Refresh

Well, with 9,800 miles on the SW and an over heated chain case the second and last time out last year due to a hairline crack and leaking fluid; decided to refresh. New chain case, gears, chain, drive axle, bearings, track and studs. With the light snow last year a little skiddish on spending...
