I have not been there personally but from a few people I have talked too, they said trails are good around Munising and east of there. Keewanaw is also getting good. See you there.
Usually the ported tracks help evacuate built up snow in the rear suspension. When your riding deep snow its alot more forgiving than a hard pack trail. It does shave some weight but the longevity of the track is going to be less.
Not sure what you mean by spring locking on the plugs. They fit pretty firmly in the spark plug holes, there is little ridges in the tip of the coil that make contact with the spark plug. As long as the coil is not loose in the hole, and the sled is running good your fine, Might want to...
