Ported track

What are the thoughts of a ported track like a ripsaw for trail use? Wouldn't it turn easier, less drag for top end speed?

I would think it wouldnt be a good idea for high speed it would stretch and I would think hard cornering it would rip

Usually the ported tracks help evacuate built up snow in the rear suspension. When your riding deep snow its alot more forgiving than a hard pack trail. It does shave some weight but the longevity of the track is going to be less.
