Alright folks, I got the music turned up and have a couple beers to drink. I want to get the seat off my 06 RS nytro. Doesn't tell me how in owners manual. If someone could post some pictures of the bolts I need to take out. or tell me that would be awesome! :drink: :4STroke:

Think I am going to use well nuts, pretty much same thing as rivnuts.

Damn got me nervous now haha, I will slow drill bit once its almost through.

And you just drill out the stock rivets and replace them with the well nuts? Intresting. I think I will try it.

What sized wellnuts should I look for? Thats a good idea too!

Thanks guys, I am guessing everytime I take it off I need to get new mounting kit for it. Because I would have to take it off to change my oil..

Forgot to ask Vectornut.... what replaces the rivets? Do I put new ones in or does the mounting kit give you screws? I am buying the skid used off a friend so I don't really have intstructions. Because I know I will have to take the skid plate off to change the oil this summer.

I am this spring, and parts to get mine fixed isn't cheap its going to be 500 bucks with labor. Cheaper than a motor but I ain't the type of fella to be pulling out 100s out of my wallet. We will see.

Do you think you could post some pictures of the back of the Skid I don't really understand what your talking about because when I look underneath my rs nytro all I see is rivets..... and you mean before or after I add the skid I can punch the cooler?

How is the skid plate for rx rs model installed, I know the front is held on by two screws, but It looks like the back is held on by rivets... Is this going to be a pain in the #*$&@ to put on?

I purchased a 06 nytro this summer that has the stock tensinor in it. I guess its wicked rare for the tensinors to stop working in them I asked my local dealer, I have put 450 miles on my sled this winter and It is still running awesome! sled has 4500 miles now. I might have my dealer replace it...
