DOUBTFUL.
It's my understanding that most of the shims require you to peel a stock gasket apart and put the shim between the halves. That's not 'one solid gasket either. There may be some others out there that are one solid though.
That's enough of that.
I am not here to discuss head shims...
Coming soon I'm going to be tearing my Apex motor down to install my head shim & ARP head studs for my coming turbo project. Actually, I've decided the route I'm going to take is to use 3 headgaskets as the shim. I'm not here to discuss that though, tons have used stacked gaskets and not had...
ok thanksm I'll be sure to check those things
It's my understanding that it's the 240 kit. Is there anything special install wise to this kit vs. the others?
You might want to tell everyone what you need a map for. IE: Apex or Nytro and what fuel controller you are using. Also, what size are your "big injectors".
I won't be able to help you with a map, but I know anyone that is going to be able to help you is going to need this info.
Thats kinda what it is starting to look like. I have to agree. I am going to try and get my hands on the install instructions and go through everything. Does MCX use a headshim? That seems like 1 area things could have went wrong.
Yes, if you put bigger injectors in you sled it needs to be re-tuned because they will be adding more fuel. Also, normally if you are at the point were you need bigger injectors you also need a high flowing pump as well.
You only NEED bigger injectors if you NEED more fuel ie. your stock...
The sled seems like it's running terribly rich. I couldn't tell for sure though cause last year when he had it out for the 1st time the wideband a/f gauge wasn't working right. It gurgles bad down low, they eventually clears out after working the throttle for 7-8 seconds. It never fully clears...
OK here's the deal. It's kinda a weird situation. I have a friend with MCX FX Nytro mtx. He knows absolutely nothing about it other than the fact that he wanted a turbo sled and had the money to buy it. He knows nothing about turboes, the whole proccess, what goes into tuning them or what they...
Now you are saying that would be the stiffest...what will that do for me? I want the clutches to be engage more smoothly than they currently do. Currently with the white/silver/white the engagement is very harsh, I'd like is smoother.
I have the spring chart in front of me. It lists specs...
I'm definately fine with setting up just for the powder. Show me the way!!!!
I was always under the impression that peak rpm's is 10500 is that correct?
My supertips are 60g base weights. While up at high elevation(the Snowies) I run them bare, and I'd have to say that is about right. On the trail, the sled just barely starts to hit the rev limiter.
