I installed the NGK same as what was in it before.

Thanks for all your help. I cleaned the jets but they looked ok. Some crud in the bowls. Put it back together and still will not run. Pulled the plugs again and decided to replace them. Turned the key and I'm off and running!! One Gold Star for RedRocket. ;)! ;)! ;)!

Greetings everyone, It's been a while since I have posted here. Anyway, I can't get my RX-1 to run. It will start with a lot of cranking for about 10-20 seconds then die. Crank agian and nothing. If left for several minutes it will start again and die. Once started and giving it any...

I also attended show and tech meeting, nothing new was released.

This seems to be a common problem. When my sled was in for updates (03) I asked to have it repaired to no avail. Most of us just crack the throttle a little and it starts. Some have moved the ignition switch to the left side for easier throttle control.

My 03 shorty has them. Got rid of the darting and helped reduce the ski lift.

Dom, loosen the front springs two complete turns. This is equal to 3mm.

Replace bottom 10mm spacer with a 5 mm spacer. Red RX1

Good advice Grapeape, That is exactly what the Yamaha rep told me at the Snodeo, adjust the front springs 2 turns (1 turn=1.5mm) and the 5mm spacers will cost you just $3.00. :lol:
