    New RX1 Owner

The first RX's had quite some issues, but as with everyone's individual tastes, it just took some getting used to. They have extremely hot warmers, but no memory and good wind protection, except in -40 and colder. Very good engine. RX-E

Two tons are better than one....

Man, that looks cool, sure wish we had powder like that. Most of our snow gets soft only in the spring.. Excellent video! :-) How old's your son? My oldest enjoyed that video as well, he's turning 17 this spring. RX-Eskimo

Troubles, first time ever with this sled (supercharged rx1)

Talking about the issue, when I have had anything done to any of my machines, I always give it a once over around any parts or cables that were the subject of the repair. I have found some major errors that would have caused problems if I had just started it up. It is better to always check...

RX-1 miles, how many miles on your four stroke

I averaged about 4500 miles a year for three years on a 2003, but it has been sitting for the last eight months. It is ready for putting back together, as I broke one of the bulkheads last spring. I have had no issues with the motor, only the body so far. Rx-Eskimo

    Some video of my sled....

Awesome video! Keep them coming...I plan to lighten up my sled as well, and love the home-made solutions...I will try those out on my RX-M1. Thanks and Happy New Year.

    Cold starts

Hah! The only Eskimo women who smell like that are the old ones still living off the land. We have the same modern amenities as everyone south, so keep your darn stereotypes to yourselves.

    Belt life

Guys, the belt life depends on the temperature you are riding in...I now have 4200 miles on my initial belt and it still looks good. That said, I usually ride when it is colder than -20 celcius. I never take off until the engine completely warms up, since it is hard for any track to move when...

    Canadian surprise from Yamaha!

Yay! Got mine last week too! It looks cool, but I would have liked to get an Apex cap:(...Anything free I will take and it is being worn with pride...

Corey Davidson to pilot Yamaha Cross Country Apex

Kids and sno-cross+ Big $$$...Repairs, hospital bills and so on...Every kid thinks they are invulnerable, but that is where the majority of the accidents are...If you want to jump, try the ski jumps. Like the commercial says: "silly rabbit, trix are for kids"

    Apex/Attack weight loss

I can only speak for me and ever person I've ever ridden with "we can't feel the difference". I've asked many people this same question and I always get "I cannot tell the difference". :tg: Geez, u guys cannot even tell the difference between coke and pepsi, and u think u can tell if the...

    Rx Mountain suspension set up

Are the suspensions similar on the 03-04 RX's and RS series? I was wondering if you meant that Thrusted Vector has an 03 TRX or something similar. I would love to know the variables, as I have lost 30 lbs and I wonder if the suspension will now act different.

How I moved my steering column forward 4 1/2 inches...

That is a very interesting setup, I like the fact that you included instructions. I presently am reattaching the right front bulkhead, I landed on a rock hidden by the snow. Thanks for the info.

    Who's done the battery relocation??

Was this done without having to get longer wires  and did you also move the brackets or drilled them out? Thanks :D

If Yamaha ceased production of sleds...What would you buy?

I would do the same, and stuff my RX motor into a chassis, such as the Crossfire or RT 1000 chassis. I have had some problems with the chassis, but not the engine. I would do what some of the others suggest, which is to find a chassis that addresses some of the shortcomings of Yamaha, and put...
