Will 9 Tooth Drives work with the 144"?

I don't think its a problem with the tracks I just went that route with mine because the Polaris RMK I had would always ratchet and it annoyed the hell out of me so when I built mine I just put it on the parts list to prevent that from happening.

Will 9 Tooth Drives work with the 144"?

This is what an anti-ratchet looks like. It requires a fully clipped track and engages the holes that the rails ride on and the rubber nubs on either side of the holes. Where the stock drivers engage the 2 rows of nubs on the outside of the holes in the tracks so with the flexing of the cast...

Will 9 Tooth Drives work with the 144"?

all MTX/ Mountian Lite hade 8 tooth and no you would not need anti stab wheels. Unless you put aftermarket anti-ratchet drive 9 tooth wheels on, it has the stock 9 tooth and would not need anti-stab wheels or cut rails. Either way 9 or 8 tooth stock drives work with the stock 2" MTX track...

Will 9 Tooth Drives work with the 144"?

the 8 tooth gives you more gear reduction vs the 9 I went with the 9 on my conversion and geared it down in the chain case. You might loose some power to spin the track if you stuck with the 9 but the clutch might be able to overtake that. I do like my lower gear.

Will 9 Tooth Drives work with the 144"?

I run a 9tooth on my converted long track. I had to grind a little bit on the adjusters to get them looser. The track was brand new so it was tight for a while until it stretched a bit. I think the stock drives do clear the tips. I did a 9 tooth anti ratchet drives they hit the rail tips but...

    Are white slides a myth?

track tension has a lot to do with it too I put a new track on my old Polaris RMK got it a bit too tight too off for a ride smelled hot plastic turned around and went back went like 12 miles burned up 3/4 of the life off them. I run the track as loose as I can before it starts slipping. I...

    144 rails on a 121 skid?????????

you loose a bit of MPG, and turning takes a bit longer. Not sure on the top end never maxed it out. Its fun to drive though harder to get it stuck. With mine I do 90% trail riding and no issues you have to be mindfull of slide life. When on the trail, I try and hit the soft stuff on the...

    144 setup

    121 to 144

Yea my new track was super tight with the extensions. I ground more out of the adjusters to get it looser and ran the lock nuts backwards and only have a couple threads engaged but it did stretch a bit now after a couple years. I am running 9 tooth anti ratchet drives with the rail tips cut off...

The battery I have in my 07 is less than two years old it is one of those expensive sealed battery. It seems to not put out the cranking amps when it is cold I just did the computer, springs light oil. It spins over so slow when it is cold no way for it to kick over. I even use it in my...
