That is correct on my secondary setting. Is it possible my secondary spring is weaker than a new one, hence the need for me to tighten it up? If I drop a tooth on the top will I need a new chain - ie is the stock chain a 68 or 70 link?
Have left a message at Ulmers and called a few times...
Thats what I was thinking and am hoping. Like I said the fastest I've ever seen is 107 in perfect hard pack/ice conditions. When my buddy hopped on (200+ lbs lighter) he said he saw 117. Hopefully its what I need through the powerband as well as for top end. Will the clutching be messed up...
By dropping a tooth up top with a gear change, do you guys feel my top end will be hurt? Or is it pulling so hard that the slight change in gearing will only help? Put a call in to Allan yesterday and haven't heard back. Maybe I'll try him again later on today. Thanks.
Thats what I thought too, but the best I've seen is 107 going across Gogebic. If there is any loose snow at all its 97-103mph. I was curious about dropping to a smaller top gear, and wondering if it could possibly help my top end along with acceleration due to how hard its pulling with me on...
Hey guys,
Been on a couple of trips to the UP this winter with my buddies that ride Nytro XTXs. They are always able to get me on a hole shot and hold 3-5 sled lengths on my 07 Attak. If we go from a 40mph roll, we are fairly close but they still usually nudge out in front by 1-2 sled...
Do you have a picture of where you hooked into for power? It sounds like you might have hooked into the starter relay, although I don't think this would cause the problem you are having.
I would check the large wiring around that funky 40 amp fuse, and check that fuse too. Thats the main...
I figure thats whats going on with mine too. I have a bit of green corrosion around the contacts, but not too bad. I figure there's got to be moisture inside causing the problem.
I found one at Pat's Auto & Sports in Greenland, MI. They are shipping it to me today. Hopefully have this...
As the title states, I am looking for a PN 5LW-81940-02-00 starter relay for my 07 Attak. I haven't found a dealer that has one in stock and Yamaha has them backordered. I have a trip planned for this weekend and need one if you or someone you know may have one in stock please let me know...
I just installed a set of the "new style" and I have to say that the little tabs of stainless that were added to keep snow from getting up to the clamps are definately not worth the extra $$. Yamaha basically doubled the price of the pipes when they made the little upgrade. Wish I woulda taken...
You say you've got yours set to 150, how much do you weigh? I was wondering how close the weight vs psi chart that came with the shock would be for setting it up.
I didn't weigh the skid before I installed it, but I know that the megafloat is a heck of alot lighter than the stock shock/spring combo. I was surprised how light it was when I got it, I would say it seemed to me to be probably only 1/4 of the weight of the stock shock.
Yep, ordered it from Yamaha's accessory catalog and it was a direct replacement. Literally takes 5 minutes to install. On the monoshock skid the suspension doesn't even have to be taken out to swap the megafloat in. Just take out the two shock bolts, pull the old one out and slide the new one in.
Thought I would share some pictures of my upgrade. I had the sled apart to replace exhaust donuts and decided to rebuild the suspension as well. I sent my stock suspension arms to welterracer at halfbaked and had the beef up kit added. I chose to have them powdercoated blue. I also am not a...
