I have the "cluck" also. Narrowed it down to the arms (part 30 in diagram) that the tie-rods connect to. I changed out all the steering bushing that are circled but that really didn't help much. It wasn't until the air box off that sx7001 and I saw the amount of play in the bushing for those...
Only 2 of mine work at all. I tried to clean them when I had the skid stripped but all I did was break one off, cheaper just to strip the skid at the end of the year clean every thing and grease as parts go back together. Really cheap zerks.
1.3 to 1.4 inches at 22lbs but like Honk said it is way to tight. My sled will come to at stop going down hill at that tension. After I set it up, I back it off 1-2 turns.
I have had it freeze twice this year :o| . I have the 2011 relay and mount on order, also the stater relay because of corrosion on the contacts. I am hoping that fixes things, if not the fuel pump is next.
I use a Rhino 520 and 2 other I ride with have 530's. The radios work fine when the sled is running. We have them mounted on Ram mounts on the block risors. You can hear the "beep" when someone keys another radio even while riding. You will need to stop though to be understood. Sending...
I ride with 3 1200's and the two hi-mileage ones get about 20 miles more then I can do. I am hoping the new clutch springs improve things. They used to ride polaris and were the ones looking for gas, now the rolls are reversed. I have done my absolute best at being easy on the throttle and...
I have a 06 Attak that is completely stock and for the last 2 1/2 years have average 14MPG. On the days I run hard in the powder it will fall to 11 and long distance cruising on perfect conditions will get me 16. The norm is right around 14. I have documented every fill up in that time so I...
X3 on the reverse method. When you are trying to change them in a parking lot at -20 its a great method. Although last year I totally rebuilt my rear suspension and while I was at it I had the rails powder coated. The sliders are much easier to slide on and off now. Just the vise grips once...
Had him do my shock twice. The first time was a total overhaul, there is no doubt that the shock was not doing anything before the rebuild. The second time was an oil change and a some tweaks to the setup. I can tell you though at 7000km they need to to be have the oil changed.
I changed from Bergstroms to Cobraheads with no regrets. I was lucky and got to ride some of the 11's last year. The conditions were as bad as it could get. More ice then snow, meaning there was lot of tracks frozen into the trail. Yamaha had a 10 model to compare to the 11s. The 10 model...
