Cardo Packtalk Bold experience, and communications in general

Mounted standard position bottom edge left side slightly to the rear. Not a lot of options on mounting these and would look preety dorky mounted on something wierd like top or back of helmet. They say that they are only operate down to -20c, not made for snowmobiling apparently. Should have...

Cardo Packtalk Bold experience, and communications in general

Now bear in mind these are "Edges" and not "Bolds" . Interesting note is that this am the battery level is back up to 75% after warming up. Perhaps the Edge has a battery which is more suspectable to cold (we were riding at -15c) The other thing is the odds of getting three brand new duds.

Cardo Packtalk Bold experience, and communications in general

We ended up getting 3 Packtalk Edges to replace our worn out collets, sound is decent, thought it only lowers music volume when someone is talking instead of completely muting it but the biggest downside is after only 2.5 hours it is running out of battery juice... sucks big time!

    Dupont SMA-DPSSR-00-00 Sliders

Well I got my other slide via USPS no tax or duty. After alot of non-sense UPS refunded my brokerage and tax from the first delivery.... They still insist it wasn't their fault.

    Dupont SMA-DPSSR-00-00 Sliders

Oh don't worry, I have about 5 hours worth of complaint phone time and emails, and they always have a wonderfully scripted response on how they understand and are sorry for the issues you have encountered - true action on the other hand is lacking. The only reason I went state side is that even...

    Dupont SMA-DPSSR-00-00 Sliders

    1) I am not UPS's customer 2)UPS is a Bonded Customs carrier - Customs never even touches the parcel, UPS does their own brokerage. 3)Powersports1 is UPS's customer and as such is the only one that can make a claim for loss or damage - It is 100% their problem 4)Can't speak for stores in the USA...

    Dupont SMA-DPSSR-00-00 Sliders

Yes it did state two, even UPS's brokerage paperwork billed me for quanity of two. One obvisously is completely useless to me. I just got off the phone with Powersport1 "Dylan" like I had stated above I was very impressed with the service I was recieving from them at initial purchase... Now...

    Dupont SMA-DPSSR-00-00 Sliders

Powersports1 in Wisconsin USA, Called them and they answered but said they were closed till Monday. I am at a disadvantage being in Canada. What started out as great service went downhill quick. If they had of taped both sliders together all would have made it here together.

Been trying to source some for my 2016 Apex XTX to no avail. Are there any in Canada anywhere?

Collet communicators died, what is the best technology available now?

So what works the best for snow these days?

What parts to also change when doing track swap on avg mileage 2012 Apex?

Just did all of that on my 2016 XTX track change with the exception that I'm still waiting for dupont sliders which are still on backorder (wish I could still get the mountain version but they discontinued them) Doughtnuts still decent so I left them.

    C&A XCS on XTX

Update: went for a short 100km ride yesterday and they worked awesome! Didn't have to change any of the suspension or steering geometry. Doesn't dart like the Tuners (mild, but it was there) and carves in the loose (and hard) like crazy. Only downside was couldn't torque the wearbars to C&A's...

    Apex Idle loping

Never had the machine idling much before, but noticed the idle changes every 10-15 seconds slightly by loading down about 50 rpm from 1600, kinda like when your car Air Conditioning compressor cycles on and off. Is this typical on these late mondel FI Apexs?

    C&A XCS on XTX

Thanks Maim, took shopping list to local Yamaha dealer and got huge sticker shock! All those pieces add up quick. Add the snow trackers and it was significantly more than the C&A option. C&A XCS's will be installed tomorrow and we'll see how they work out. Hoping they will carve like my '02...

    C&A XCS on XTX

So much for a crossover, or even on trail with more than 2" of loose snow, Tuners are useless. Nice on groomed hardpack but understeer like crazy even with 6 and 4" of carbide on them. Adjusting suspension doesn't make a pile of difference, so has anyone run the C&A XCS on a XTX with good results?
