    ripped seat repair

Hi. My boot lace clips put a few holes in my seat and I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix them or what product would work to patch them up. I tried the search but didn't find anything. Thanks.

    riser's for apex?

Well I put the Muffinworks riser I bought from dilligaf52 last week on and love it. It is actually 5 inches higher than the stock riser on my Attak. I changed the throttle cable to the mountain one, made a slight adjustment to the brake line and that's all I had to do. Everything works great...

    Headlight--high low split modification

The stock bulbs are good, Silverstars and others are better. But the real problem is where they are aimed. If you read back through this thread it gives really good info on how to fix the problem.

    riser's for apex?

Jeckylll, I'll be in Stoon on Saturday. Did you get the Rox riser from Proline or Rec Supply or somewhere else? Does it go straight up or pivot forward a bit? thanks

    riser's for apex?

Where is the best place to get the Rox risers in Canada? If I went with a 4 or 5 inch riser what cables would I need and any idea how much they would cost? Is it a big job to change the cables? thanks

    What's the next performance step?

Hi guys. I have a 6 Attak with drag'n'fly clutching that I'm still dialing in (great low & mid range but hitting a wall up top); studs; big boy spring. My question is; what's next? I don't want turbo or other major mods, but I have some Cat guys who are modding and starting to catch up...

    BROKE ADJUSTMENT CABLE, NEED ADVICE

I replaced mine about a month ago. It's not too hard, depending on the size of your hands I guess. The turning adjustment 'knob' comes off easily with three allen bolts which will make it easier to access as well. I suggest putting plastic cable ties over the rubber that covers the threaded...

    Replacing sliders

Prior to cutting, the old slides got about 500 miles and were worn down enough to change them. Yes, the conditions were actually pretty much the same. Same slides from new, same sled, same riding area, similar conditions, 500 miles prior to cutting and worn out, 1000 miles after cutting and...

Thanks for your help guys, I appreciate your wisdom.

    Replacing sliders

danq, widening the windows doesn't affect the alignment. The track clips are placed kind of north/south between the windows. To widen them you cut them out a bit east/west (toward the edge and center). You basically only need to take out the smooth part beside each window where it meets the...

    Replacing sliders

apex yooper, yeah it obviously wouldn't equal the weight of the studs but with two pieces cut out of each window it makes quite a pile. I think the track weighs 40 lbs. The whole point is to just widen the windows to allow a bit more snow in for lubrication. It works out to only about 1/2"...

    Canadian sled?

Thanks for the responses. Any idea why American sleds have Transport Canada stickers on them? I can't see our US friends wanting or having English/French Canadian stickers with a maple leaf on them. So are you saying all Yamaha sleds come this way? Just doesn't make sense to me. Do you guys...

    Canadian sled?

Hopefully someone can help me out. I bought an 06 Attak last year from Michigan and brought it up to Canada. I thought it was originally a Canadian sled and if so I will have warranty on it. Yamaha Canada is fighting me on this, they don't want to give warranty. It has original stickers on the...

    Replacing sliders

If you are tired of changing your sliders all the time you can try this trick; we actually cut ALL the windows 1/4 inch wider on each side of each window with a utility knife. It takes quite a while and will give you Popeye forearms but is worth it. The camoplast windows are too narrow...

    Headlight--high low split modification

Great site guys. After reading this thread I put Silverstars in my Attak. Great improvement. It also really hate the high low problem so what I did was turn them all the way down so the highs are aimed right. Here is what should help you out; I left the bulb on one side normal and spaced the...

    Taller windshields

Yes the factory cover fits and the tall windshield actually keeps it nice and snug for trailering. It's not hard to install, but you do have to drill two small holes in your plastic in front of the handlebars for the install. The rods are hollow and you use the rubber expanding hardware similar...
