I closed the rear off, only got 600 miles on it, but no ill-effects at all. Besides dry feet when running water / slush.

Anyone know if you can get gears from the aftermarket instead of paying the Yamaha price? I'd like either a 17T top or a 42T bottom gear. Royal distributing doesn't list gears for the 2007 YPZ.... Looking for a bit extra bottom end grunt to help turn the longer paddle track.

You connect to the stock header with a OD over ID slip flange. I used a Supertrapp from a FZR600 and it fit like a glove. Nice stainless midpipe, and stainless T bolt clamps VERY high quality. I think I paid 100$ for it on e-bay - Brand new, clamp on installation. Not 100% necessary to...

Yeah, I'm not brave enough yet, the things not even paid off... haha. It does water VERY well though... All I did was tape up the clutch side, and that's it. I had the smallest lugs and HP out of the 3 sleds, but on the water, you couldn't tell at all. :Rockon:
