I would be careful. I did alot of research before studding mine and everybody said not to stud the outside. enclosed is mine with 144 up the middle. and it hooks up well and brakes much better. and as for cornering I think studding the outside may make the sled flip instead of slip. Just my two...
I have both and I feel the rtx seems faster, maybe it's the clutch, just different. As far as the floats go there is no adjustments as far as compression or rebound just air pressure. the clicker shocks have rebound and compression and spring pressure. I feel the clickers are more adjustable. in...
The name of the sled is "rough trail" not snow cross. most people don't get to ride the sled before buying so i can see how some people are sold by the name Rough Trail. I guess it all depends on how or what you call rough. all I know when the trail gets rough 3' moguls I say bye bye to the crowd
I called the dealer and he said that it's normal and all sleds the a arms move back and forth just from riding and that you can adjust them with a pry bar prior to riding??
I posted some pics and nytromaniac spotted an inconsistency between the shock in relation with the upper a arm. in other words see if your shocks are in the center of your a arms. i have two nytros 1 rtx and 1 fx both with low mileage both have the same issue the shocks are not in the center and...
Hey nytro you are right! I checked this morning and the right side is closer to the shock than the left side. and sitting right next to my nytro is my buddies nytro fx and his spring is almost touching the a arm on the right side . This was an excellent analysis based on a macro photo of the...
I'll have to give it an another look I did roll this sled prior to this mod but the dealer said it was straight the bars are a little bent. I believe that the picture is crooked because of the way I stand taking this picture. My driveway is on a steep hill so when i'm in the trailer I have to...
Which pic? what looks funny to you? If its the locktite pic the ball joint is not connected to the spindle yet. the nut goes on then i attached the spindle. if thats the pic the a arm is resting on the shock . ps the muffler job you did rocks! Bill
I did this mod and rode the sled in various conditions. I rode on an icy road, in 2-3 foot powder and on groomed trails. the front end seemed much more stable and I am much more comfortable on the sled and I focus on my riding and not the sled. Here are some detailed pics I hope they help They...
I had to tighten mine three times and never again you don't need to jack it up just grab the tool kit and tighten the nuts evenly (2 min) and go riding and be safe. Bill
Great story! I rolled mine on the lake at about 40 with only 62 miles on it . I was setting up for a jump and probably blipped the throttle while still in a turn(no studs) and whamo I high sided and watched my sled roll about three times. I was glad it threw me the other way! there was plastic...
I did this mod last week and i say i helped bigtime on icy roads and lakes. no shake and almost no darting. in deep powder it was perfect. however on the trails the sled darted because i was in others tracks. I must say that this was the most helpful mod yet. I also rotated the rubber at the...
