I took it out today in better snow conditions - Different area - and I didnt have a single problem - ran like a champ!
I think it was because I was riding on hardpack and it was like 40F out and no snow was getting kicked up...
I took my Vector out today for a short jaunt - running on some hard pack snow, still getting used to her...All that i had access to at the time snow wise..
Anyways, after riding for about 15-20 minutes I had the tempature warning light came on, so I shut it off and let it cool down, this...
Dont know if this was posted or not but Yamaha has the Dry weight posted for the MTX now - Estimated Dry Weight 544 lbs. / 553 Lbs. (reverse model) Only 45lbs lighter than an 07 RS Vector Mountain SE ? thought it would be better than that :S
Thanks to everyone for the feedback!
I got the sled and have ridden it a bit - I love it, but I'm definatelly going to add boost to it!
What an awesome machine!
So, I've decided on an MPI Stage II mainly because it seems that they are very reliable - plus after having a supercharged car I'm somewhat familiar with them :)
Why not just go with a SIMON's CPR Turbo kit? They seem like they are the better turbo (heat is managed)
Are there advantages to the Powderlite kit over the CPR kit?
Yeah - I like the idea of a SC because of ease of installation - Only thing that concerns me is power loss when going from say 1800-2800 on a climb...Dont know if thats an issue or not...
I'm looking at adding boost to my sled over the summer....debating about which is best for me.
I've got a 2007 Vector Mountain SE
I ride steep and deep, sea-level to 2800ft...
Which is going to be the best?
