It looks like they will work. I will let you know for sure when I get them. The 09 part # is 8GK23579-01-00 2 pcs. The 2010 #s are 8HK23579-00-00 2 pcs and 8HK-23754-00-00 4 pcs. The bolts and washers have the same part #s. My NCI kit lasted about 1,500-2,000 miles.
So since my NCI lower ball joint rings wore out and they are discontinued are there better/updated stock Yamaha ones than the 2009's? Are the 2010-13 ball joints any better and will they fit an 09?
Yes why? Mine have worn out (because I bent the spindle, I think) This let the ball joint wear out the top bushing and the ball slipped up. now I need new ones, and I don't like the thought of having to go back to stock!
Mine did it too this week, and i have the updated one. Took out a propane torch and warmed all 4 of the relays up front under the hood since I couldn't remember which one it was. Started right up
I vented my IP with a 1/4" drill bit. Put about 30 holes in it. You really don't get much snow up there. Seemed to help a bit, I have a temp gauge. May buy the IP vent down the road.

Most likely your secondary isn't backshifting quick enough. So you jump, land, and back on the gas while the belt is still low in the secondary clutch causing the slip. You can try tightening the secondary spring for quicker backshifting just watch your RPMs, they will go up when you tighten it...
I had Klim Adrenaline GTX boots and was really happy with them, just got a bit cold occasionally. Switched to Motorfist this year and so far they do seem warmer. Also the toe area is a bit smaller than the Klim, fitting in the tunnel hooks a bit better. (Size 13). I think the Motorfist boots...
Just like stock. Put a very light bungee cord on the ski tips to remove all the slop. Then set it to 1/4" to 3/8" toe out. I measure at the front and rear carbide mount studs. You can also use a long straight edge along the track to align the carbides with the rear suspension if you really want...
Go to Advance Auto or Auto Zone and get the smallest chrome one they got. Cut to desired length and tack weld it on. I have done this to 3 Apex's and my stock Nytro muffler when my aftermarket can cracked and I had to put it back on. $7 just need a welder and a cutoff. Looks Great!
As long as the donuts are good you should be OK. I found some aluminum with fiberglass mat in between heat shield and put on my old RX1 just in case. Header wrap with high temp red silicone would work too.
I agree with the above guys. Put in the stock weights and take it somewhere else. If that doesn't work get a hold of the district rep and Yamaha customer service. Be polite and patient, I have had some things covered that were years old and out of warranty, including 2 sets of 4 year old...
You can also vent the top panel. Take a look at OFT's top vent. I just drilled a bunch of 1/4" holes to achieve the same thing, although not as nice looking. Lowered my temps around 10 degrees and it's a good spot to set your gloves/goggles to keep them warm when you stop. By the way, I have a...
Not sure what he paid but I saw some this summer on ebay for less than $2,500. I was told that these units may not be suitable for low elevation use so I passed. I really want one though!
Not sure which mounts I have on my Slydogs but the ski rubbers had room to slide side to side. I shimmed each side with 1/2" rubber to keep the ski bumper rubber centered. I'll post a pic if I remember to get it
