So i tore into my nytro tonite to replace the exhaust donuts. The original 3 donuts were shot, about half gone. The material on the heat shields is kind of burnt away, not totally but definitely not like it was. Should i be concerned about this before i throw it all back together? I don't want to be worried about something, especially being right under the gas tank. Hopefully I will never have to do this again, replaced with copper donuts from OFT Racing. They fit extremely well and I am very happy with their product!

As long as the donuts are good you should be OK. I found some aluminum with fiberglass mat in between heat shield and put on my old RX1 just in case. Header wrap with high temp red silicone would work too.

Half of mine has been missing for 2 years, keep in mind there is a layer stuck to your tank as well. Keeping air moving through there is key.
