Talked to Randy today about the Drag and Fly. He said for my application the 2 speed is better. He also said the New 40-20 has a different profile and is about 61 gm. Sounds good!

With the 38-20 I could not get it to hold RPM out of the hole 0-50 mph even loaded up.

If it is only 1 inch shorter it can not be just 1 less lug. It must be a new pitch.

These are the 40-20 arms. There where a few different versions of these. Mine are the heavier ones which weigh about 66 gm. The older style 40-20 weighed about 60 and shifted flater without that tendancy to pull the r's on top.

I am currently running the 42-34 with a yellow spring and have the arms empty with the bolt holes drilled out and about 7 gm in the shoulder.

I run hammer times and the heel X. They are awesome! They do require a lot of initial tuning. They tend to rev out of the hole and pull the r's down on top which is just the opposite of what we want with the Apex.

I assume you would see more gains with a moded exhaust if you also modded the intake and ported it and if you want to spend the dough some cams.

I would go with a 1.25 six pitch. Should be as good on the packed trail and better in the loose stuff.

I have the skidoo ant ratchets and they work great. No rubbing. You may gain a little top end because you can run the track a little looser and I guess they are a little lighter than the 4 factory drivers. You will also save your sliders.
