I have run my mcx 270 kit for 5000 miles now with no issues with the kit. I have run 16-17 psi at 7000 feet plus with no issues of detonation on pump premium gas and go. 13 psi at sealevel on premium is safe also. I have been a great kit. Tons of the 270 kits running around here. Would...
Check where the main wiring harness wraps around the front of the motor. Clutch side of the sled. There is a little nub that is cast into the motor that rubs the main harness and it causes all sorts of codes to come up. this is a common problem on 2008 Nytros
Low boost MCXpress. 180HP. 240-270Hp I would go MCXpress also. If you want all out huge 26psi then Alpine motorsports or Impulse but be prepared to spend some coin on the motor.
Those would be my choices. The only thing I dont like about impulse is the seat, even the aftermarket ones made...
I will second the West Coast Sleds front end kit. Billet spindles and 1000 kms with no issues. I had timber sled before with the Chromo tube spindles and the oversteer caused them to crush in where they hit the ball joint.
Also I see in another post you are having CODE 12 come up, crankshaft position sensor, this could be why you are having issues with the sensor or your rapidbike is the issue causing the crankshaft sensor code to come up.
Just an update. Took it to Slave Lake Yamaha, and they found the problem, the main harness that runs down the left side infront of the motor was rubbing a nub on the motor. It wore through around 6 wires and burn the harness. It was shorting on the motor. Problem solved.
thanks for the...
Cleaned the battery contacts and the Main chassis ground. Still blew fuses. I have already upped the ignition fuse from 20A to 30A due to the external fuel pump.
I managed to find a new fuel pump, so I am going to change it a see what happens. Seems like the likely culprit. The old pump...
I seems to happen when running the sled for about 5-10 minutes. After running it hard back and forth in the feild it will pop the fuse either one or the other. I ran the sled out of gas once last year and that is when it started blowing the ignition fuse. Now it will either blow the ignition...
I had been told that you can not shorten the harness, so I kept mine coiled up under the hood. Do not quote me on this but I did hear that a some point in time.
Exactly the same set up I am running except I am running 47 degree helix and white spring at 70 degrees. It may hit the rev limiter once, when stabbing it, but once we are in the deep snow up high it does not hit it.
