    163 miles today

re I used to ride a 2002 summit 800 144 and now ride a 2008 phazer mtx. I do not miss the summit at all. The 800 is faster on the top end but the phazers torque and broad powerband make it a blast. Plus the ergo's and handling kick #*$&@. I am 180lbs and 6' 1" and it fits like a glove.

whats better, 07 or 08 phazer mountain

Yamaha also seems to have fixed any cold starting issues on the 08 phazer mtx. I just got mine started at -38C. not bad at all. the closure strips on the sides of the seat help keep the ice off the foot boards a bit but it ices up like crazy in side the tunnel/seat area.

I still get ice coming down the sides of the tunnel and lots of ice buildup so I was thinking about closing off the tunnel. My question is will I melt the plastic if I close it off since yamaha put on those side panels...
