I rode 163 miles today around the Gaylord/Grayling area. It was the first time I actually got to ride the Phazer. I like it, it's not the fastest but it goes where I want it to.

What did you dis-like about it? I am thinking about a phazer as a second sled and am worried about the power/ I'm 230 lbs and would be bummed if it was a dog!

I used to ride a 2002 summit 800 144 and now ride a 2008 phazer mtx. I do not miss the summit at all. The 800 is faster on the top end but the phazers torque and broad powerband make it a blast. Plus the ergo's and handling kick #*$&@. I am 180lbs and 6' 1" and it fits like a glove.

I'm 5' 10" and 170 lbs. It's a blast to ride. My only dislike is it's a little top heavy. She's a handfull too! I feel like I got beat up. Just trying to hold on to her, she's so torquey. You're constantly pulling yourself towards the bars under acceleration. It's awesome, it's totally worth being sore in the morning.
By the way, has anyone removed the sway bar? It seems it would be a easier to throw around, not that it isn't easy already but the bar kind defeats the purpose you know. Also, how about the limiter strap? what do you run it on? I would like to change my to keep the ski's down around the corners.

I took mine for my first real ride today and had the exact same experience. I found myself wanting to stand up and then having to hang on for dear life. It really does pull.
Super fun sled. The one thing I don't like is the tippyness, but Im sure I'll get used to it. That's the price you pay for the suspension I guess. My last sled was an '87 Indy, so it's quite a change.
