i'm looking at buying a phazer mountain lite/mtx, and i am wondering if anyone heard of any problems in the 07 that were fixed in the 08's. the web site shows the are same with a few little changes. i have heard about some over heating problems. the 07's are cheper right now but i don't want get stuck with some bugs. any info would be great. thanks

No overheating problems with the mountain line up as they were the only one to come with a fan in 07. Bigger fuel tank on the 07 too. Save the money and get the recalls done(engine mount nuts, front steering). They need new shocks!!! I'de go for an 07 and better shocks

Yamaha also seems to have fixed any cold starting issues on the 08 phazer mtx. I just got mine started at -38C. not bad at all. the closure strips on the sides of the seat help keep the ice off the foot boards a bit but it ices up like crazy in side the tunnel/seat area.

thanks guys. i like the sound of that better cold starting. going to the dealer after work to see what he has left. they don't seem to last long.
