2006 RS Vector or 06 vector rs gt

I agree on going with the '08, I love my '06, but I did ride a sled with the new chassis and must admit I like the ride better. Now if I could only convince my wife to upgrade, Yeah right.

2006 RS Vector or 06 vector rs gt

With those price's I see why he's still got 2006's left, I don't remember exactly, but I think I paid around $6800 for my wife's RS and around $7100 for my GT and that was in the spring of 2006. I understand that these sleds are new, but they're also 2 years old. I checked Kelly Blue book and...

    Replacing exhaust donuts...help!

I think the main thing with using them is to make sure you center the hole, if you can do that, it should work, just don't break it off in the bolt, otherwise you will have opened a whole new can of worms. If you can, try and heat it again before trying to get it out, it seems once you get them...

    Replacing exhaust donuts...help!

I'm not familar with the location of the bolt, but if you can get at it, I'd soak in a penatrating oil for a time, then drill it and use an "easy out" to remove it. Unless you could get a vice grips on it, but I'm assuming you probably tried that if you were able. Good Luck.

Looking for help to ease the throttle squeeze

As I recall, after I installed it, my feeling was, it just wasn't going to work, maybe I gave up to early, but it wasn't comfortable for me, so I pretty much knew my wife wouldn't like it, so off it came and I returned it. For what it's worth they were really good people to deal with so that...

Looking for help to ease the throttle squeeze

As I said, the idea made sense to me and even after getting the thing, I thought it would work. However, after installing it, the lever was to low, was not comfortable to use and basically just didn't do the job, you really couldn't get it to work properly the way it was designed. I think one of...

Looking for help to ease the throttle squeeze

I believe this is the product you're thinking about. http://www.clydecanride.com/testimonials.html I tried it on my wifes sled, who was complaining of the same thing. Lets just say it didn't stay on for more than one ride, really didn't do any good at all. The theory makes sense, but this...

    06 RS Venture - Overheat

I saw this over on the Phazer site, seems to answer your question on filling without air bubbles. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=53896 Hope this helps.

    Where are the lights ??

I only noticed it happening on mine and my wifes vectors when it was around -10 f or lower, otherwise, haven't noticed it. I'm thinking either a slow relay or something that just allows all the power to the starter.

    RS Ice Buildup

We just got back from a week in the U.P. with 15 other sleds, Poo's, Doos and Yami's. I can say that "Everyone" had ice build up, one Polaris in particular was knocking off several pounds a day to keep it clear. So, it's not just the Yami's that have this issue, from what I saw, it's across the...

Why no widened front ends from factory????

I'm pretty sure the reason for the limit on width is due to a lot of clubs still using 8' drags on their trails. In theory, if 2 sleds met on an 8' trail each with 4' ski stances, you'd have fun trying to pass each other. My father-inlaw who was a groomer driver told me this, made sense to me.

    Oil filter

I think he's talking about the K&N #147 Filter, they do list it as a direct replacement for the Vector Engine.

    RS Ice Buildup

Ice Build Up Here are a few more pictures. Actually, I had thought of possibly selling these things, but the progress has been slow. I don't know how much interest there is, so I haven't really persued it lately. I did make up a small video which more or less shows exactly how it works, if...

    RS Ice Buildup

Ice Build Up I was worried about this when I decided to go to the 4 strokes, but my concern was not with the heat exhcangers, because I don't think that's where the bulk of the problem is at. I think the majority of the ice build up problems is due to the Hot Exhaust that's running directly...

    any trailer wire harness gurus?

My father-in-law's truck had the same problem and we found it to be a fuse. Check your manual and see if you can track it down, the trailer harness uses a different fuse than the regular lights in the truck. Good Luck

    Communicators?

I was thinking about these for me and the mrs., but have heard in the past that the range isn't too good. What can a guy expect from these and are one better than the other when it comes to range? Thanks, John :4STroke:

Stock vectors what is your top speed?

Saw 107 on Dream Meter on a hard pack road last winter, 99 on the lake, which was ideal. I went by a Polaris on the lake and he said he was doing around 105 so, guess the "Dream Meter" theory stands true.

    Rough idle

I'd say go with the new plugs, seems like a cheap way to go. Why you may have fouled one is another question, but I'd try the plugs first. I know my '06 GT and my Wife's ER did the same thing last year when we were getting ready to go on our first ride, changed the plugs and no problem the rest...

    Belt squealing 06 rage

I'm guessing you need to adjust your clutch, I'm no expert in this matter to say the least, however I was having a similar problem and got referred to this page: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... hlight=101 It's a detailed description of adjusting your clutches for belt...
