My friend bought a 900 ace Expedition last year. He installed the new BRP ice scratchers....the have a coil in the middle. Mount to rear upper idler wheel bolt. They work pretty awesome. You can put them down and forget about them. When you back up...that middle coil has enough give that it'll...
Been following it all week....it's a big land and harsh conditions....these racers know what they're doing. Their website is very good. Also hats off to all the volunteers that make this event what it is.
Team 5 in 3rd right now.....we'll know in the morning.
It's a 2013..fairly new.......don't suppose the shock is actually defective....I would think with everything set to light it would still be hard to bottom out....yet alone with everything set stiff.
I have the RS Ventue.......as said above...one notch up on limiter strap.....I set my skid shock about half wayon the threads.....totally different machine.
I don't have a viper...but would if I could.
Please don't shoot messenger....but following all the posts two things come to mind.
1. A member posted that if you push down, jump on the rear you can get more fueul into tank.
2. Another member posted that someone suggested it was vapour...
I have them on my stock 2011 RS Venture and am quite pleased with them. I can't be sure, but I think the track (stock) is clipped every 3rd window.
I also use running board mounted scratchers in icy conditions.
About 1200km on them so far, and no sign of any wear.
I know of two 1997 Ventures 700 triples with over 35,000km that are still going strong. Motors haven't been touched....both had clutches and 2ndary rebuilt last winter.
I thought they would connect to sattelite also. Iwouldn,t want to rely on cell service. I also notice you can buy a bluetooth sattelite receiver that is suposed to make phone a true gps.
Anyone use a gps app for an iphone.... and how do you find it.
My dilema is that most handhelds have a small screen....which I can't see without my reading glasses. It would be a pain to take reading glasses snowmobiling. Garmin has some larger screen units....cost around $500.
So I'm...
Yes...mine has carbs....I didn't touch shocks on skis. I'm aware of the wheel lowering kit...made by Pioneer Performance.
When I first got it, I was convinced I had to do something about wheels because of slide wear...last 800km no wear at all....it seems to have stopped.
Ice scatchers are awesome for spring riding. I bought machine end of Feb. And have almost 1700 km. On it. Slides still good....semed to wear so far and then stop...still lots left on them.
Thinking I'll stick with original wheels....explore the dupont hyfax when replacement time comes.
I...
I have 1100km's since I bought it.....probably wore 1/2 down. I also have ice scratchers installed on running board.
Went out 2 weeks ago.....full day of heavy rain....then went to -10....so not much loose snow on trails....all hard pack and ice. My slides were great(scratchers)....skid full...
Been out of snowmobiling for about 6 yrs after the crank let go in my 1997 money pit Polaris Ultra touring (700 triple). Bought a new 2011 RS Venture in late Feb., and it is everything I wanted/dreamed of for my type of riding....80-90% groomed trails.
I've done lots of reading here and...
