Once again, if it was ECU it would be common to all sleds. It's not, it has to be one of the permissive's to the ECU, crankshaft position sensor, air box temperature sensor, barometric pressure sensor, or ???? one of the many sensors that send information back to the ECU.
One of those must be out of spec and not giving proper information back to the ECU.
This is what you get doing business the WALLMART WAY (cheapest supplier).

The common link in this hard start/not start are the P1338 and P1339 codes.
That would suggest the ECU has lost sight of the crankshaft.
If it doesn't know crank position it can't know when to inject fuel or send ignition. Is this sensor the same as Vector/Nytro or is it from another vendor?
If it is a common sensor then the problem gets a lot harder to find, a connection not plugged in properly? a terminal under crimped (not making proper connection)? a terminal over crimped (cut the wire and not making proper connection)?
Until some one can consistently reproduce the problem it is going to be very difficult to solve.

I don't have a viper...but would if I could.
Please don't shoot messenger....but following all the posts two things come to mind.
1. A member posted that if you push down, jump on the rear you can get more fueul into tank.
2. Another member posted that someone suggested it was vapour locked....he removed gas cap and it fired right up.
Is it possible that some of them are not starting because the bouncing/movement somehow causes them to airlock?
Again...sounds far fetched...just throwing it out there.

Please see my post about the odd issue most of the 2010 Honda Fury Motorcycles had. Strange common fuel pump issue would act like vapour lock when very hot. Changing pump solved issue for most, but others had a fuel injector leaking after shut off and slightly flooding bike. Kinda time consuming to check injector for leak down though.........pump pressure should be easy, doesn't the ECU flash a code if pressure is off? I don't know for sure. The Hondas mentioned above should have thrown code and didn't.
Just guessing though as our Viper doesn't have this problem.

The air lock problem is because the vent for the tank is too long and gets iced over

A 800 etec that rides with us shuts down when it gets air in tank. It's sounds like an electrical glitch (which isn't common in all) or a sensor issue
