The manual shows a washer, 2 shims, then the secondary followed by two more shims and then a washer and bolt. My jackshaft had a washer, then the secondary, then one shim, one washer, and bolt. When mine is assembled u can see about 1/16" of the jackshaft spline exposed before the washer/bolt.

The manual calls for grease on the fixed sheave spline that the helix slides on. I have read some people putting their clutches back together dry. Which is best? Thanks!

Took apart the primary for cleaning from an 07 phazer fx and the primary spring was black with two hot pink paint dots. Thats not the stock primary spring is it? Thanks

Ok cool. What technique are you guys using to clean the primary on the machine? Blow it out with compressed air, scotchbrite sheave faces, spray with hot soapy water and rinse?

Thanks everyone. The belt is a yamaha 8gs. Old phazer belt i believe. It is in good shape. The belt guard did not appear to be bent or mishapened either. I will check the bearing and dive into the clutches when i get a chance. Thanks again
