OT: Port Yamaha does not ship to Scandinavia anymore so i had to order a handguard from my local Yamaha dealer. Some price difference, they cost 36$ each here!

Im thinking about making mine a bit narrower too. I think im going to cut them to the shape i like and remount the edges, or possibly use edges of some Arctic M model. A friend of mine has got an XP tunnel that he is planning to cut the whole sides off and mount on the Nytro tunnel.

MCX will work just as good at sealevel as i does at any altitude. They have a altitude compensation boost system.

Have you considered Slydog powderhounds, they are wide and not that agressive?

Looks good! But im not sure about drilling holes in the already weak subframe tubes. 09 mounting in the gusset plate looks better.

Bent -08 replaced on warranty last spring. Bent the new -09 on my first ride this year. Out of warranty now, so i put a prybar between upper and lower a-arms and bent it back.

I ride in Dalarna or Härjedalen mostly. Björkliden is too far north. (1200km) I have Pioneer valving (custom, more copmpression damping in rear shocs) , done by KN Racing. 65 PSI in the floats and clickers according to specs from Pioneer for now. Have not had any time to adjust yet.

Try 65 PSI. But i think the floats on the 08 RTX needs a revalve to work properly. Since you are from Norway you could try http://www.knracing.se/ Great results and fair pricing.
