If the exhaust just closed it's on the exhaust stroke. And Don't think so much, read the manual. You should be able to turn it over fine without the cover. New gears, chain and guides? Did you measure the old ones if you are using them?
Ok /second from the end in the fuse block is a red wire in, it takes a 15Amp fuse. A brown/red wire comes out and goes to the fan relay. The relay will also have a red/white wire , a blue wire and a green/yellow wire. The blue wire goes to the fan motor then to
ground. The green/yellow goes...
Right after the intake valve closes on Number three it will come up to tdc. How could you turn it over with it
tie wrapped? If the tensioner is the same as the vector
it should have released when you pulled the screw driver out after installing it.
I change it in the spring and run them some. The acids
build up over time not immediately. Better to flush the
parts with fresh oil than let the old contaminated oil sit
on them all summer.
And Idle is 7.1 psi hot @ 1450 rpm. So below ten is no problem. The relief valve is in the motor, probably
at or in the pump. The by pass valves that filters
have are in the filter. I don't know if the yamaha filters
have one or not. A quick google search suggests it does.
The easiest...
Could be the pressure relief valve. If the filters have
a bypass that is a very common cause in a car. I just
changed a filter in a dodge dakota to fix the same
problem.
Even groomers can and do get stuck. The nightmares
of all groomer operators, it's a lot of digging. Snow Cats are pulled out by groomers pretty regularly around here. A few mountain ski operators use snow cats and they get stuck pretty easy. I've noticed the
big time operators in Canada have...
Pre-stretching has always been the way bolts are
tightened. We used to mic ours back in the 70's instead of using a torque wrench. The idea of the angle method is it gets you away from any thread or
flat surface friction differences so it's much more
consistant in how much it stretches the...
The grey pinout on the ECU you need shows in the 2007 pz50 diagram. Doesn't look to be that big of a project to wire in if that pinout is good. (Check part #'s on the ECU's, if they are the same you are fine.) All
of the Phazer models except the base have the wiring
from what the diagrams...

Plug the fan part number into Yamaha parts and it will
give you a list of the bikes it was used on.
Some of them are safety related, like the lower ball
joints. You should be able to pressure them into at least giving you the parts. I would do the ground wires
and the starter relay. The cold start you'll have to make up your own mind, if you ride in real cold weather it may be worth it.
