Thanks for all the input guys! I think I would be happy with $7K for the sled.
We shall see what happens. Another new baby on the way puts a chink in my planned snowmobiling for next season. Looks like I have to take the year off.
I do not see any play or damage on the W arm bushings or on the RA cable/boot. My spring on the rear mono seems fine with no noticable wear. The track is fine, but I need to adjust it tighter. I really only rode on good snow cover and very groomed trailes. Some studder bumps and ice but no bare...
My buddies father-in-law has a 600 SDI and rides with a guy on a Vector, they gas at the same time with the same amounts. But the 2 SMOKE has to put oil in LaLaLa
I am studding my 05 shorty and my buddies 04 warrior this weekend. I am doing Woody mega bites, 1.325 with singly and dual backers on both sleds. 144 down the center of the shorty, 162 down the center of the Warrior. I did notice that someone mentioned you have to loosen the track after studdin...
Hey Mighty, or anyone else, my buddy has the 04 Warrior, what would you reccomend for that. Same center patern? How many studs?
Thanks
Also, do you use the nylon backers or the alluminum?
I had the same problem this week, no studs an very scary on the ice and in icey corners. I have the 6 and 4 with the 6 on the outside. Great in snow and packed conditions. I had to back off the ski preasure a bit though, took it down to 16 threads on the front shocks from 20, that helped a...
I was looking at Fast-Trac studs, I had them on the Viper and they seem to hold up well with those light weight nylon backers. They recc 1.25" studs. Anyone have any experience with their new Triple X series?
Just got back from St Zenon and Lac St Jean (Mount Volin). Did 1000 miles in 4 days with mostly great conditions. Saw alot of ice in the turns when South of the St Laurent. I have not studded the 05 RX1 but want to now after some very close calls. I am not looking to drag race the sled on ice, I...
I have ~500 miles on the sled. The manual says RPM at idel should be 1350 +/- 100. My sled idles at 1000, if I turn the adjuster screw ( in the center above the carbs) up to increase the idle it revs really high if I just barely touch the gas. Is this normal?
Thanks for helping a 4 stroke newbie!
Just got back from St Zenon this Wed after three days of awesome riding as usual. We stayed at La Glacier. From Milford its about 8.5 hours going up to the mass pike and then 87 through New York, then take 15 North over to 40 Nord! You can buy a canadian trail pass at La Glacier I think they are...
OK, I will change the oil, here is another issue. I got two oils from Yammi. The dealership in the US sold me yamaha 5w30 4cw oil the canadian dealer sold me 0w30 4s oil. Both read that they are for 4 strokers but one says extreme weather synthetic (the 4s) the other says it has synthetic...
I can honestly say this is by for the best sled I have ever owned. I have only owned two before it, a 95 MXZ 583, and then an 02 Viper. I love the new rear suspension, and with the Simmons skis this thing is effortless to ride. I actually find myself zoning out cruising the trails at 40-60MPH...
