I live by having an AFR gauge. This would show you if it was in fact a lean condition, if the sensor is properly installed....... I personally wouldn't be concerned but it never hurts to "nut and bolt check" your sled at least once a season.

I would hate to see that from jump starting, an ecu could burn up, there should be a feedback fuse before it would hit the ecu. I've heard of similar things with automobiles so I guess it's logical. I seen somewhere...ive been searching for a half hour to find the site, that offered reflashes...

From my own experience... May differ with other sleds/tunes

My sled used to but after reflash fueling was a little more accurate. A tip is to not completely chop off the throttle. If you try to keep it open even 5% it eliminates the ultra lean 19-20 AFR and the backfire that accompanies it.

Also a heads up to everyone. The DNR and Sheriff are pretty lenient with sound. But have been ticketing for no Trail sticker or registration. If riding through trail areas with homes please take it easy... Thank You

The DNR in Munising just requested everyone stay off the trails tonight. They have the groomers running full time to set the trails for the freeze tomorrow. I'll see everybody on sat. Look for the sled in my avatar with a 2up sleeper seat!

I have not had an issue with starting since I reflashed 2000 miles ago. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe it's something with tuning. Either way don't be afraid to go Yamaha!

The trails needed a little warm up to knock down snow dust to improve visibility when in groups. Should be great this weekend!

Trails good today. Please wave to the groomers when you see them . They barely make enough to pay for fuel and are mostly groomed by clubs. They are doing a great job this year!

I'll see how the trails hold up tomorrow with more traffic.

Just put on 100 miles today from wetmore to christmas, munising, shingleton. Trails were a huge improvement from last weekend. If riding behind a groomer a 10, the trails today in our area were a good 8. The snow we received last week helped a lot. Expecting more snow this weekend and a warm-up...

Not sure if it makes a difference. But I always turn key on and wait a few seconds before starting. Even when warm. Habit I have from my diesel I guess.... I have not had 1 kickback since reflashed. I run rich with those big injectors though. Usually 10.5 - 12 normal driving and 9.5 - 11 wot.

Do you have an idea of how many members may be on the ride? The trails east of munising were trashed last weekend. Worst I have seen for a long time. West of munising like Chatham etc.. looked good. I am heading up tomorrow night and will ride fri-sun. Can give an update on conditions

Sold the sled over a year ago or I could give you the info I had with it. I have a 15 viper turbo now that is a great improvement. Miss the sound and top end pull of the Apex.....

I have the Evo flash and ride all last weekend. Consistent 0 to below zero temps started with no issues. I do have 550cc injectors which may help
