Roll call for Jan 12-14 fun ride

waiting on a set of 8 tooth extroverts to come in to finish the rear up and to replace the front suspension bulkhead.

Just in case someone wants to hook up with "mileage quest" I made arrangements to stay down the street.

Guy is offering to help a member out. Wish he lived around here. Pretty damn cool MQ!

I will be getting there Sun 7th, leaving Friday morning the 12th. So far looks like I’m traveling solo if anybody is wanting to ride. My cousin is there now and says best trails in 15 years.

Room is filled but he said he’d stay on an air mattress so I guess there could be a spot still if needed...

Also could probably make room for a sled on an open two place or would pull anything...

Leaving MPLS before sunrise Wednesday January 10th... going straight east toward Green Bay... then turning North toward Wetmore!!! ETA 10am-12pm and then off to hit the 8’s and to see Rotten Ron in Grand Marais...

Headed back the same route some time after noon on Sunday!!!

I will be up early early every morning looking to ride before the zoo wakes up...

:winter:

We are heading up either Monday the 8th or probably Tuesday the 9th depending on work here at home and the weather. Depending on trails conditions and how crowded they are we will head home Sunday or Monday

Just put on 100 miles today from wetmore to christmas, munising, shingleton. Trails were a huge improvement from last weekend. If riding behind a groomer a 10, the trails today in our area were a good 8. The snow we received last week helped a lot. Expecting more snow this weekend and a warm-up. That should help set the trails up good for next weekend.

Yamatuner, Great news! Save some for us ay buddy......

I'll see how the trails hold up tomorrow with more traffic.

I will be pulling in fri night. Short ride to foggies for a steak then back to Broadmoore for some fun. Sat,Sunday and short ride Monday if trails hold up. Based on my ride up there New Years will go east all days unless someone tells me west is good. All are welcome we usually leave by 7am stop at all sights along way and never leave anyone behind.

I thought munising had passed a noise ordinance on sleds running between the hours of 3am & 8am? Which works perfectly with the steak & eggs I was going to have for breakfast

BTW, what's Broadmoore?

Broadmoore is name of hotel we all stay at. Its actually in Wetmore. If there is a curfew its news to me. Most testing get done before 7 and never had a issue. Just riding this one though. Would do some runs Sunday morning if someone needs help or wants to run some though.

Its Boarders Inn and Suites. There is no ordinance in that area that I am aware of, only in Town by the Hardees where the trail crosses that would be a problem.

Trails good today. Please wave to the groomers when you see them . They barely make enough to pay for fuel and are mostly groomed by clubs. They are doing a great job this year!

Yup, trails were good this Saturday, went from Munising to Grand Marie, only a few choppy spots east of Shingleton, guys watch out for that one narrow low laying bridge between Shingleton and Kingston Plains, the snow is so washed out a guy got hurt there this Saturday, seems like a problem spot every year.
