    Suspension setup advice needed

There is no difference in the 14 /16 torsion springs, both are 18# 80* springs. Saddle bag weight would have you adjusting the blocks maybe one turn on one side only. This bottoming out with saddle bags and bucking without makes zero sense unless you have the incorrect torsion springs. Example...

Are you certain the rear shock is installed correctly?

Anyone have a LTX sway-bar kicking around?

Dang Mike I wish I would have seen this thread yesterday. I broke mine earlier this month (18) LTX and sourced 2 from port Yamaha. Figured best to have a spare. Would of been happy to help.

Anyone tried SSI muffler on their winder

Just can't be said enough. PM's don't work on a stock sled.

2022 Sidewinder ltx eps - getting rid of push

I have been running this combo for 6 seasons now. I'm using the 8" triple points. Just make sure you shim the back with their shim kit, it will come with your purchase of the skags. I'm set up different than most, A-arms are level (lowered vs stock), limiters sucked up past factory holes. Using...

    Snow Tracker nervous steering quandry

Sounds to me like the ski loop is leading the sled....not good! I have a question, why does one need aggressive snow trackers with an EPS equipped sled?

    Viper or sidewinder

I have both also, other than hood removal on the older Vipers (newer ones have different body panels) they are identical to work on. Same chassis, same suspension, same drive train, same clutches (except winder has roller secondary), same chain case, same seat, same handle bars and riser...same...

    Elka or fox qs3

It's not at all, I have the same springs on the Winder with QS3r's and the Viper with stage 4 Elka's. Great combo for me on either sled.

    Need advice

Heavier torsion springs would help out a lot as well. I'm 210 in street clothes and I have one step stronger torsion springs and a riding buddy is 240 in street clothes and he's 2 steps up from stock on his torsion springs. Not sure which spring comes stock in your MY but ours were 18# springs...

    What are the odds

Steve is easy to be friends with, I too have been trying to hook up with him for a ride, just hasn't worked out yet. We text and talk about fishing and hunting it seems more than snowmobiling. I've never met him in person but feel like we've been life long friends.

What Did You Do To Your Sled Today???

Going to replace the broken sway bar on the winder today and put the stock muffler back on the Viper. Grease them up after 6 days of riding.

O2 sensor part# for closed loop

For me not worth the squeeze. I started with the 240 SS then upgraded to the cluster flash with closed loop. I run 240 mostly for trail riding so its a fair comparison. I get maybe a 1/2 mile per gallon better with closed loop verses the stand alone 240 flash. Same trails same fuel stops and its...

    2024 Prototypes and Spy Photos

I couldn't agree more, the Yamaha platform with the Japanese ecu ran much stronger then AC's ecu in the procross chassis.

    2024 Prototypes and Spy Photos

In this era of turbo sleds all Yamaha has to do is produce a 150 HP turbo trail sled and it will sell like hot cakes. Look at Doo's 900T, it's there most popular sled by far. What would be even sweeter is if they could do that with a 2-cylinder 4 stroke motor and turbo.... sign me up!

    Headlight hight

Set your low beam where you like it as it stays on when you go to high beams. I tend to have my low beam lower making the high more useful. One recommendation I would make is to get rocztoyz headlight adjuster. Easy adjustment on the fly.

    Squeaking Front end ???

When you break a sway bar they don't squeak...ha! I spray fluid film on the bar and again I don't have squeaks.
