On the 3 prime method I have always used on first start for 4 strokes, take a peek at just to the right of the steering column down low, that is a mechanical fuel pressure gauge, I zoomed in and it was cool to see it prime up and increase pressure each time I turned the key. Validation that my...
I had to re watch this to get my head right for sled season! It’s actually a decent guide for anyone thinking of standalone ECU on really anything with a motor. Squiggly lines FTW!
I added the YRSS shocks to my 06 and have been impressed with them..for what it's worth. Corners much flatter and feels like the independent systems finally gets to shine. Mine is also a 151 in tight WI trails. Takes some muscle but I need the traction out back. I am never wore out, my...
Just curious what people are running for timing. On my meth injected, compound boost at 25psi I am around 15 degrees. The EGTs are quite hot and nothing helps, fuel, boost, etc. I am thinking maybe I am trying to be too safe and run timing too low? Engine is 9.2CR
Fuel is tough I want to...
They did a nice job of doing more with less. That is some tough engineering they accomplished.
That said I am over 2 smokes as well. They are all slow. The 850 I got for a demo a few years ago was fun and quick, but it was not fast. I am spoiled by Yammie modded power. If it doesn't...
Double check but I think the new ARP kits include the shorter bolt for that waterpump side. If you do go ARP make sure to follow their TQ spec EXACTLY... do NOT follow the OEM yamaha procedure.
If you were serious there are ways to cut some lbs:
Lightweight hood and no headlight ~15lbs
Go all fox float shocks ~6lbs
Bare minimum seat ~2lbs
Carbon rear tunnel ~3lbs Plus no ice
New turbo with SS housing and header ~4lbs
Reverse delete ~2lbs
MTX/BTX bone spindle ~1.5lbs
That's 33lbs plus...
I use it, what color is it? You said attack so its a 136" I would buy it for $500 if its black. I paid $200 for a parts skid so I don't need it but if its complete maybe I would put it in my other sleds.
A legend dies...What a great sled, thanks for all the updates on it back in the day, I often looked for them and admired this sled! If I was closer I would pick this up and put my spare apex motor in it!
The number of vanes has no impact on flow this could be 1 vane if was designed right and still flow the same amount. I would not put any stake in fewer vanes means less flow, if you know anything about fluid dynamics there are a lot of ways to make this work.
Kuddos to the engineer on this...
