I would agree that C12 is a good trail belt, but off-trail under constant load it builds too much heat and delaminates. Most of my delaminations were worse than that shown by OP. I like the compound and am going to do further testing on the Kevlar version and see if it holds up any better.
I ran the C12 for the past two years and am not going to buy anymore. The reason, six belts and only one blew. 4 delaminated like yours, and one is still usable. I have tried the Kevlar version, but don't have many miles on it I will need to adjust weights a bit to get RPMs where they need to...
You also have consider the amount of time they took to rewrite the map for each of their flashes. Intellectual property is just as valuable as tangible property. If you don't want a flash which has been written by a reputable vendor, has been tested, and has been shown on a dyno, you are welcome...
Reverse on the phazers are always finiky. All that's needed is to unload the secondary a bit and it will shift easily. Sometimes we have to undo the side panel partially and rotate the secondary back a bit to unload it to get it to shift. Kinda a pain, but it is always the go to solution when...
On other test would be to simply put 12 volts to it on the bench and see if it spins. If it does, rule out the actuator and start chasing the circuit to find the bad part.
I hate electronics. Why don't we have a simple dial. Turn it counter clockwise for drive, and clockwise for reverse...
Sometimes they just go south. My LTX 5,000+ still on original. My XTX, 3,200, still good. My 16 Vector, 800 miles battery shot. Another in our group lost hers in MTX after preseason oil change. When they go, they just die.
I'm not sure how all the water gets in, but once in there, it can't get out. The gearbox part is not sealed up and the dust cover just snaps on. maybe a well placed drain hole would give a pathway for water to drain out of the gearbox. I have two sleds, and the actuator gearbox on the XTX was...
I finally got sick of my reverse not working until the sled warmed up after sitting in a cold trailer overnight and went looking for a solution.
I removed the actuator from the sled and found about a teaspoon of water inside the actuator gear housing and motor, and I'm pretty sure that once...
I've run the 1.25 Ripsaw2, then the 1.6 Cobra for part of a season before switching to a 2" Backcountry. The 1.6 Cobra was okay, but just doesn't hook up like the Backcountry does. Even in its 2" lug height, the Backcountry lugs are stiff and do not fold. It hooks up in loose snow as well as...
