Compress the rear shock with a ratchet strap, wrap the strap over the torsion spring and down to where the shock mounts at the lower position, crank the strap tight, it will compress the rear and it should line up
I did it with the skid in, even by raising the rear of the sled off the ground there’s a little tension on the front shaft so you will need to remove the front shock top bolt and swing the shock towards the rear of the suspension, pretty straightforward after that.
I run Dalton 70g empty with xs belt on my 20 with hurricane 240ss tune and they are right at the limit to get the rpm at 8850-8900, not sure about the 17’s but I would think they wouldn’t work good on a stock machine.
By the picture it looks like all your magnets are out of the end of the drive shaft, 2 of them are sitting on the bottom of the gear and the rest must be in the chain case somewhere.
Same with mine, was at a Yamaha dealer and seen the vespel sliders for the mountain sleds, the Vespel would reach the back on the 137” skid compared to the shorter vespel sliders that we normally get for the 137”-144” tracks, thought I’d grab them for when mine wear out till the guy behind the...
Rotate the boots so you can gently pry up under the wire connector with a pry bar, once they lift a bit they will come off. That’s the only way I found to get them off during my Apex days.
I’m pretty sure that’s the inner race of the bearing you see not a bushing.
