I had an 05 rx done at Atelier Bernards in Quebec.
They did the same thing. Those are" piston squirts". They spray oil up on the bottom of the piston. Without having them there,it will just dump oil through the hole too easily and not have as much oil pressure on the main bearings.That...
All weights, including our own earlier DPY style that have a "polaris..ish" type of curvature...similar to 8DN-20 and such are going to act different.(most aftermarket)
Like I mentioned earlier,we still have some shops that prefer these style weights, especially for short drags, etc.,as usually...
Which weight to use depends of course on a lot of variables. Some people like to tune with different rate primary springs,..some like different helixes,...some run low gearing,...and some prefer those big stiff yamaha primary springs for their application.

On my 05 rx, my wife glanced over a rather mild rounded up rock that protruded thru the trail. Like one of those...
Ice drags tomorrow (Sat ,Feb 10). Catch the Ferry and come over!.
There will be 150 sleds or so,that will make about 400 entries with all the classes. Southerland's Lake. Exit 10 just 20 mins west of Truro.
Even if your sled is geared up for snow, just come watch and have a great time. This...
This old 93 t-cat belongs to a friend of mine Chuck MacQuarrie and piloted by Craig Rogers.
It is a regular 65stroke(stock stroke bottom) end with an old school hooper 1000 top end. They won the 1000 imp class and pro stock class you were in with the 2 turbo sleds?
..I think they told me...
