The skis and front shocks are installed by the dealer but the skid is assembled at the factory. Scary to think Cat's quality control is that bad but unfortunately it's all too common in manufacturing today with the Covid19 issues.
With that much lift I've got to ask how in the world that sled is going to get around corners, something my 2020 T-Cat excels at? Is that skid coupled at all? or did they set it up like that from the crate and just blow the setup?
Three time loser that finally learned his lesson. At this point in my life I don't really need a woman-just a good dog and a few fast Cats. A pole barn is in the plans for next spring.
Not sure the 1.575's are going to give 3/8" penetration on a 1.5-I'm guessing it will come out to 5/16". On a 1.25" track 1.325's are supposed to give 3/8" but only have 5/16" per my measurements while 1.450's give you 7/16" penetration on the same 1.25" track. I'm currently studding up a 1.5"...
The fact that they're using anti-seize at the factory lends credence to the theory the engineers don't want the bearing locked to the shaft and exposed to axial forces from the chassis flexing. Not sure if those locking it down are experiencing early bearing failure. but from personal experience...
The GPS has a detachable mount on the rear I fastened to the door with 4 s.s. machine screws, washers, and nuts. I did hard wire it and also did the optional work installing the vent to allow engine heat to keep contents warm.
