I've ridden my bro's TD Tuned 900T a few times this year. He had a 2019 and now a tuned 2020. It's a fun sled and has good power, but no where near a tuned winder. He has his suspension set up great. Light steering and can be playful over every bump and lifts the skis as ease. Nice rear end...
No. Unfortunately, my season is over with for the year. :-(
I figured why not try it knowing that there are good venting options available. If I don’t like it, I can always just remove it. Looks like one piece of the air box would have to be replaced, but that’s no big deal.
TD has 10% off...
I was thinking about the same thing yamamarc. Anybody running these moflow vents have input on whether snow dust gets in? Last thing I want would be moisture on the belt, but if the moflow vents prevent that, this might be a great solution to getting airflow in on the clutches.
The bolt I used was Cat Part#: 8413-090 SCREW,CAP-HFH M10X1.25X90 CL10.9
I felt this was a perfect length as when it was fully torqued, it would stick out the back of the axle by 1/8" or so.
I thought the same, but they work great. It's a matter of simply reaching back and dropping them down once I see my temp rise and within 20 seconds I see the coolant temp drop back to normal. What I like about them is the spring tension as they apply great pressure on the ice/snow.
There were...
No, you have to replace the stock mounting bolt. I purchased 90mm ones in order to be the correct length. The bolt that comes with the ice scratchers are too long, as I believe they were 110mm and would hit the upper idler wheels.
I really like these BRP ones. They mount right up to where the bolts are for your skid. What I like most is you can just reach down to lower them or hang them back up without ever getting off your sled. Makes it easy for a quick stop and go if you need to use them or want to hang them back...
I usually see 15 - 15.5 mpg on my TD Stock Muffler tunes with the Ice Storm 150. I have yet to run out of gas but have gone over 135 miles numerous times this year with my fuel light usually coming on around 125 miles.
