    Sidewinder refined anymore for 24?

Top Gear & bushing: Potentially worse than older models, should be addressed from day 1. Driveshaft: harder metal but should still be addressed from day 1. Sight glass: Improved ROV: improved Chain tensioner: tack weld or red loctite.

Did you guys see the new Cat Catalyst?

C’mon, what did you expect? You can’t stamp Arctic Cat on the sled without having a Jesse James Monster Garage feel to it.

Did you guys see the new Cat Catalyst?

These videos should have dropped before spring order. I’m looking forward to seeing the 4 stroke version at some point.

2023 Top Gear is Powdered Metal Junk

It will definitely be stretched enough to fit. You should be good to go.

How many miles did you get on your sled this season 2022-2023?

We got in one more ride, so 2,500 for the season.

    Yamaha Snowmobile Division.... Mission/Vision Statement

“We have purchased the Arctic Cat snow division and will continue to offer both brands, built to the level of quality that Yamaha customers are accustomed to.”

    buying a used sidewinder

I run the stock sensor as well and have seen it spike to 17.2 but it always settles down to 16.5-16.8.

    Yamaha Snowmobile Division.... Mission/Vision Statement

My frustration with Yamaha/Cat is mainly due to the lack of changes in product. I would love an updated ergonomic package for the 998. Seeing the Catalyst gives me hope that what I want is coming. I will admit, I was initially frustrated that Yamaha teamed up with Cat. Many on this forum still...

How many miles did you get on your sled this season 2022-2023?

Not bad. 550 miles in 2 days. We saw all we wanted to see. It was a nice way to end the season.

My wife and I both did 2,344 miles which is win considering the crappy season we had in the Northeast.

    2024 Yamaha Spring Power Surge

Is that speculation or a real number? That is sad if true. Last season, my local Cat dealer told me that Cat was going to build 10k sleds total, including Yamaha’s.

    Who ordered?

I don’t believe they offer extended warranty on SS.
  13. number1kyster

    Who ordered?

I did not order SS. I don’t trust them long term, and the dealer I ordered from recommended not getting them if you keep the sled more that a couple seasons. He said they will be expensive to repair as they age.

    Who ordered?

That is crazy money for a 600.

    Who ordered?

But, you can order a Doo. Most of us never had a chance to order a Yamaha. You can order a 900R X for under $17k. XRS with smart shox was just under $20k.

    Who ordered?

The only leftovers I see are Doo and Poo. I have not seen a leftover Yamaha or Cat in 2 seasons.

Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

It always cracks me up when guys come on the 998 forum to brag up a sled that is not a 998. Almost like they are trying to justify their purchase. It should be no surprise when the 998 crowd pushes back. Most of these folks are enthusiasts after all.

    Sidewinder or something different.

Chalk up another vote for 2 stroke for banging ditches. XTX with 280hp sounds fun off trail until you get stuck.
  19. number1kyster

    Who ordered?

The only problem with this is that the dealer told me there will be no floor inventory. He said the 2 spring orders will be the only 2024 sleds he will see all winter.

    Who ordered?

My local dealer told me he had (16) customers who tried to order Yamaha’s and only (2) received confirmation that they got one.
