My first updated fox shock was first changed at 4,600 miles. The second one lasted 375 miles. the third one lasted 334 miles. I also keep the weight off the suspension after every ride & also in the summer for storage.

The updated fox shock has rebound adjustments also.

I have the new updated Fox shock on mine . I like the way it rides but it has gone bad 3 times already in 5,200 miles. I am now on my 4th. shock. I looked on their website but that is a very expensive shock. I can't figure out why that shock cost so much.

Is elka shock for a 129 or the longer one.

Did anybody installed one of these shocks from HyGear on their Apex or Vector 129. Would like to get some inf. & thoughts on them.

I thought Fox shocks were a reliable company that made quality shocks. I understand what you are saying but this happen 3 times already. Let me tell you it is a pain in the as$ trying to move this sled when it happens. Need a sheet of hard plastic or a plastic sled under the track to move it.

Yamaha has replaced all 3 shocks & labor under warranty. How could all 3 shocks go bad so quick? All 3 shocks were brand new from yamaha.

I remove my suspension every year. I take all the shafts out & clean them. Take all wheels off & remove bearing, clean & re-pack. Remove lower bearing by sepo & replace. Bought 2 new SS bars that go on either side of the upgraded shock & also replaced the bushings in them. Bought 2 new alum...

This has nothing to do with the price of the apex, but my 2018 Vector has the upgraded shock and it has been replaced 3 times in about 5,200 miles. Once at 4,500 miles and then it only lasted 375 miles and the next new shock lasted 334 miles. Almost afraid to drive it any more.

Take some of the preload off the front springs by the ski's

Is this only on the 998 motor. What about a apex or vector motor

I didn't know that the KYB with a multi rate spring would work on a 2018 Vector suspension. Do you know what has to be done to the suspension to make this work

Not a dumb question but do you have the kill switch on.

That spacer looks like the spacer that goes between the inner frame and rear upper large wheels on your suspension. It slides on your upper rear out bound shaft. there is one on each side.

And cover any painted surfaces up with a lot of rags. Brake fluid will eat the paint right up.
