I have a 2018 viper ltx dx and it’s very plush! Such a smooth riding sled and great for cruising. It will also take those 2-3’ moguls easily while standing up. I just sold my 2016’ rtx se with the fox qs3 shocks, and that sled could really eat bumps! Pro cross chassis is mint! Good shocks and a...
Walked into the shop today and noticed a puddle of oil about the size of a hamburger underneath my sled. Was out playing in drifts last night so not sure if that would cause it to overflow? I still need to have a closer look, but was wondering if this has happened to anyone before and what I...
Funny you ask this, I was just thinking about if totally Yamaha had a thread started yet on the 2022s and how I haven’t been on here in months. Thought, what the hell might as well check lol!
I hope they have something good coming, but hey, we’ve all been hoping for like 6-7yrs now and haven’t...
I’m sure the ski works, but if Yamaha has been using cat chassis and basically everything else except for motor and clutch’s, why not just have all the new sleds come with cat skis? They are single keel skis and work way better than the tuners. Just a question..
I think when the time comes for me to upgrade, and if cat still has the 9000 turbo Tcat to offer, then that’s what I’ll be buying. Still a couple grand cheaper than a viper and you get a turbo! Love the chassis, but I’ll be smarter this time around and just buy a cat.
Did anybody see a post on FB recently about some guy showing a picture of a 175 with a srviper sled cover over it? Claiming it it was a Yamaha reps sled and asked to see underneath it and was told he wasn’t allowed? Most likely just stirring the pot. I had just started reading the 80 comments...
So a 900 electric sled @The redhead is never dead ?
or are you just implying that we will all be “shocked” when Yamaha releases a 900?
you’ve been leaving very small hints, whether they’re actually hints or not idk. I guess we’ll see if you actually know what your talking about on Monday.
there wasn’t really anything new to see anyways, this year will likely be no different. I still love my vipers regardless if they come out with something new! If they do come out with something new, I for one will wait an additional 2 years to see how it works before I consider upgrading.
There’s one guy in our group that just won’t buy a communicator, he usually ends up blowing corners and riding at the back. Slow rider, but still manages to find himself in the rhubarb.
these headsets are cheap! Listening to the FM radio is also good, especially when a good tune comes on.
My wife and I have communicators as well as a few other buddies. We use the Cardo communicators and they all link up automatically whoever is riding with us that day. I know exactly what you mean about a comical and entertaining ride! They just make for a better riding experience overall and...
They are amazing engines! These vipers & winders are also very good sleds, especially with the QS3s. Glad you had a good run, 700kms in day would be awesome on wide flat trails.
The QS3s do make a big difference, I have a viper with a set and another viper without. Both ride very good, but the one with QS3s definitely takes the bigger bumps better. The LTX DX with the regular shocks are more plush and are very nice for trail cruising on well groomed trails. It all...
That’s one of the best things about the viper/winder sleds, it’s easy to put on 400kms in a day and be ready for more the next day. Seating position is great!
If your looking for a viper series sled, I would recommend the LTX. There’s aftermarket power steering kits available for them if you find it’s needed. Great sleds, no more work than any other sled. They all break and need maintenance. As long as your not beating the snot out of it, it’ll treat...
