    2020 SR Viper thoughts

Just looking back at my bill from 2018, paid $14,500+tax. MSRP Was $15,649. I have a plain Jane ltx dx. That ltx gt is loaded compared to my sled! Hopefully that gives you a bit of perspective on price. I really wish I needed a new sled, just finished up the season with around 4300kms on the...

there’s probably a bit of a plumbing reroute because of that. Not even sure what the benefit of that would be...

    2020 SR Viper thoughts

For $1000 more than what I paid for my 2018 that doesn’t have near the updates or accessories. The QS3 shocks are worth more than that alone! Good deal in my opinion. Everyone remember when the old srx 700 and vipers were $7-$8k new? Inflation hurts, but it’s all relevant..

New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

Well, sleds fired right up this morning. -17 out. Started fine all day as expected. My sled definitely feels more responsive, haven’t tried the wife’s yet...maybe tomorrow. Sleds also run at normal temperature...72-74 degrees.

    2020 SR Viper thoughts

I think the 2020s have some nice updates to them. Actually not bad for pricing at all. They definitely have some nicer upgrades compared to my ltx. If I needed a new sled, I’d be buying that all red ltx!

Change it up. What skis NOT TO BUY!

No darting with our procross cat skis and 6” slim Jim duallys. Sleds are basically on rails now after some help tweaking and setting up the rear skid thanks to guys on here. We found our skis on Kijiji basically brand new condition for $250 set CAD. Any cat dealer should have a set of new...

New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

Ours have started first try every time so far. Going down to -15 overnight tonight so I’ll report back on how well they start early morning. Start first try throughout the day also. And it kinda does feel like more power/torque.

I normally Dont Complain About Yamaha Products

I’ve had my gmax flip up with built in sun visor & heated shield for about 4 seasons now. Great helmet and I’ll buy another one when the time comes. Also have an fxr helmet with goggles for the warmer days, but it very rarely comes off the shelf..

Well, I don’t care what you want to call them...brp or skidoo, I personally think they’re junk, but that is only my opinion. If you like skidoo accessories, good for you! I’m happy for you. I also wouldn’t spend $700CAD on a helmet either, but if that’s what you like, I say go for it! No...

I will never put anything skidoo related on my sled. I’m definitely going to be buying that arctic cat speed rack mounting kit for next year. I have the AC catalogue as well and they do have some pretty nice accessories. A yamacat is one thing, but a yamacatdoo is another lol

My dealer also told me to just let it idle for a bit right after the flash...not sure why, but I did anyways

    Ice Scratchers

That was my thought also. I have cable scratchers on both sleds now, mounted on the rails. Eyelets are the only way to go for keeping them stowed.

New Ecu flash for Yamaha Viper/Arctic cats 7000 w/POLL

Got new flash last week, both sleds started first try twice recently. I noticed you can hear the fuel pump being a lot louder than before, like there is more power going to it or something. Anybody else notice this? We are going on our last trip this weekend so we’ll see how well it starts...

    2020 Sidewinder or Tcat?

I noticed the new viper has a tether switch on it. Comes with goggle bag, small tunnel bag, tall windshield, fox QS3 shocks which are awesome! New brake lever is very nice, new throttle as well, all the other controls are pretty nice, has heated seat and visor plug in. 4 wheels on the rear skid...

    Ice scratcher location??

On my ltx dx the idler wheels closest to the rear of the skid are located on the inside of the rails which allowed me to install the cable style scratchers in a good location on the rails without actually drilling a new hole, only increasing the size of existing holes which wasn’t a big deal...

why did yamaha patent this?thought this was a cat design?

Spindles are different, A arms don’t look spaced as far apart as cats. Kind of sloping downward. Motor looks to moved more towards the rear of the sled also. Definitely interested in what it could be!

Yamaha Viper or Artic cat ZR 7000

I’m sure BOP fuse relocate kit is good, but you really don’t need it. Not trying to take away a sale from BOP, but if you want to save a few bucks go to frequently asked questions in the viper section and look for fuse box relocation thread. Really you only need to drill 2 holes in the clutch...
