YEs this is what they Mission offset look like, just like the stock carbide except 12 inch total carbide. The pic on Qualipiece with the link above is not correct, I am running the offset ones.
Hmmm...maybe that's it? I have never run dual carbides as this is the first time, these are the offset ones that I heard were good. I do agree they dont dart. I will deal with a little dart if I can get rid of the push! Typically I have run long single bars, like Woody's ace. Sounds like I need...
Yes limiter pulled in to tightest setting. I am going to poke a hole and go even tighter now to get more weight on front. Center shock had NO tension on it. The steering will never feel heavy because of power steering. I might give up on this stryke ski and try the 5.7R
OK that makes sense, they were on cat skis!
I'm curious if there is that much difference between the CAT, Stryke and 5.7R skis? They are all single keel and quite similar widths. I just dont understand how the 5.7R is that much better, I thought it was a clone of a C&A ski. The regular 5.7 and...
Bring this back up. So the SRX springs (pre-21) with lower ride height at 100 degress are actually a bit stiffer spring with bigger wire diameter? Was there an improvement in ride by doing this (I assume lowered height)?
I’m not a snow tracker guy. Tried agressive on cat skis on my last sled, almost killed myself! Sled rolled when ski caught going sideways and broke my shoulder when I flew off . Don’t want to get in a debate over them since I know some people love them but it’s not for my style riding that’s for...
I have a new to me 22 LTX GT eps that I am trying to get rid of push. Might need to switch skis up. Am running 12” offset carbides from qualipiece and a lot of weight on front skis plus normal suspension adjustments that I do. Will need to start testing other combos but I had hoped these Stryke...
This isnt the cover, but the back case that is bolted to the tunnel. I do agree on your instructions for the cover install though! The crack in question was a bolt that comes through from inside the tunnel. They are 6 other bolts holding it to tunnel and none of the other ones are cracked.
Seems I will just run it as is. Posted on FB groups, and some people have 20,000 kms with a cracked ear. I believe this may have even happened at factory from overtightening. Will monitor it this season and see how it goes. Too bad the case is magnesium, not worth risk of welding.
I looked into this as well and came to the same conclusion which is why I bought a 22 to replace my 2019. The aftermarket kits seem to have a lot of deficiencies and are not the same as factory. Unfortunately nothing is comparable as factory and you have to bite the bullet and upgrade sled...
Any updates on this? Did you end up getting the King air? Seriously considering this option as opposed to upgrading shocks in factory skid to Elkas. There's not many people who have this skid, so hard to get real world experience or reviews besides the 3 articles that are out there.
Its a friend's new sled that he picked up from a dealer, so no history on it. 4000 miles. I would assume this could have been from hitting something hard (although I would imagine more would be cracked?) or overtighten from factory. I see most people were getting this back case replaced under...
It’s one mounting tab to tunnnel , the others are all fine. No leaks from case and everything else seems fine. Will try and get a better pic. There are other mounting tabs/ears close to it which are fine.
Has anyone had this happen before? It’s just one mounting bracket but am wondering if the case should be changed or just run it.
I am sure these are backordered!
For the front Elka Stage 5s, will the earlier model not fit the 2020 and newer? Bit surprised they need to be custom made but in going to Elka's website they list 2017 as the fitment year. Was looking at some used Elkas but unsure if fronts will fit.
The middle 2 prong one can be used for accessories. I use that to wire LED lights or Passenger seat heater elements (Its KEY ON activated). I wouldnt tap into other ones.
