I have a Iso-vibe on my 800 Cat. My hands are sensitive to vibration due to years of abuse from impact tools and the Iso-vibe helps a significant amount. https://www.gripnripracing.com/index.php?id_product=143&controller=product
If you have a Float (air shock) on the rear, normally just adding air pressure will do the trick. It's what I have done in the past when riding two up. If your rear shock has a spring, you can increase the spring preload.
The front skid shock doesn't make a huge difference in load carrying...
Yeah, the snow has been hard and icy for the most part this winter for sure. Makes it hard to side hill in/on with just about any sled. Hopefully this round of snow that we have been getting this week will improve things.;)
I did the 2016 and up conversion on my 14 7000 and it does make noticeable improvement in counter steering a side hill. It mainly increases the Caster angle which improves the ease of counter steering. The parts required are the same as 2016 and up 2 stroke Cat mountain sleds, so sometimes you...
It should be OK as long as the oil light doesn't come while the engine is at operating temp and at idle. What happened, is while the sled was on it's side, the oil pump sucked in some air and lost prime.
Because it lost prime, the low oil pressure switch shut the engine down on your re-start...
Could be worn/damaged driver's. I would check the extrovert teeth on the driver's for any unusual wear, sometimes they can get heat damaged from a combination of high horsepower and low snow conditions.
It's been awhile since I had my Nytro, but I had a Bark Buster front end on it. If I remember correctly it just used standard Heim joints. Summit racing has quite a few https://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/rod-ends
Just would need to measure your thread and through bolt sizes.

Good write up Mooseman. As a follow up to my post above, I was able to find another battery box and modify it to use a power supply for the Bose head phones. It makes it pretty easy to turn them on/off with a push of the button on the side of the box.
Usually if I'm off trail/mountain riding, I...
Sure, I can fabricate a short pigtail harness which would allow for the mag tether conversion. I see in your signature that you have a Nytro and Apex. The Cat Magnetic tether switches are noticeably larger on bottom side, I haven't had a chance to test fit to see if there is room for the switch...
I have been using Polaris gripper skis on my last couple of sleds with good results. Here is a link that I posted years ago on doing the conversion.

Also since your sled is a 2015, it's not a bad idea to upgrade it to a...
Thanks for pointing that out earthling. This link should work https://fourstrokesolutionsllc.com/high-performance-rovcm
The web hosting company I use was recently bought out by another company. I'm not particularly thrilled with the new company as I have had several issues with the website...
The 162" tunnel and rear bumper are longer. I forgot the exact difference (seemed like it's about 4 1/2"), but you can run a 153" under it no problem. It will just have a little more overhang is all.
As far as the difference in skid length, that takes place behind the rear scissor arm mount. So...
I originally had an EVO tune with a straightline performance header, air box mod and Ulmer muffler. I found that the muffler was a little to loud for my taste, so I put the stock muffler back on and ran it with the header, air box mod the EVO tune. At the time I contacted EVO about running the...
I did a tail light relocate on my 7000 when installed a carbon fiber tunnel. (didn't want to mount the tail light on my new CF tunnel) Was pretty happy with the results!
I have been building a few ROV kits equipped with the Arctic Cat magnetic tether switch for a couple of years now with excellent results! They work so well that I've decided to add them to the line up. Basically it's a $30 option to cover the cost difference of the mag tether switch and related...
