I bought the HID from Rock and am very happy with them. I also get many positive comments about them. Rock is just about the best vendor you could find IMO, just excellent serice.
I had one fail last week, 4 lugs came off bottom of belt. A bit over 3000 miles. I ordered another one. Previous was changed out at 4000 miles and looked great.
I am in a similar situation and have been considering the Oxygen. My research gives me pause though, seems lots of complaints. Check out Doo talk, separation of the shield layers causing fogging on many. Dealers readily replace but that does not help if you are on a trip. Other issues as well...
That is what I am thinking now. I'll have to pull it apart and check. Really can't think of anything else. Won't have a chance till the weekend but if I find it I will post what it was.
I just checked my 12 volt outlet on the left side of dash and it does not work. All fuses in fuse panel are good and everything else on dash seems ok. Any thoughts? TIA.
I have a friend that did it last month, it is a long run but doable. Myself and a friend did Timmins to Chapleau and then on to Dubreuilville the following day, just depend how much energy and/or time you have. It is a bit twisty going into Chapleau but past there it is quite fast.
I just got back from doing Cochrane to Dubreuilville and back. The west side was absolutely fantastic, actually most were but we did not go as far as Wawa.
I have Retrax on both my Vector and Viper. They have been great for getting in and out of the shop and for maneuvering around gas pumps on bare pavement.
I have a 2016 LTX no turbo and am running the Gates G Force 40C4340 carbon fiber. I really like it because there is none of the dust associated with Yammy belts. I guess I should be changing it as I am over 5000 kms.
Sorry about the delay, just saw your reply. There is no control, it gets quite hot, I am told maybe around 195 degrees but on the trail you do not notice this. I am really pleased after having used them for a few weeks.
