I would say it is time to send them off for a good deep clean and thorough check up. Thunder Products would be my suggestion. The unfortunate part of owning a 4 stroke, we run long enough that we wear things out. In 2 stroke lives you would be on your third to fifth new sled and you still...
Exactly!
No change and limited production isn't a bad thing. Either they are trying to avoid delivering late or it could be a signal that change is coming.
If I understand this correctly 2024 is limited production and Canadian customers have 2 days to order before us in the U.S.? Reading between the lines, either there is a dealer allocation in place or U.S. customers are out of luck.
Hang with the 850s? The only place the current version won't hang with the 850s is on the lake. If an 850 is pulling away on a trail it is either user error or bad setup.
Just saw sneak peak on Facebook. They have the old guage on it but also have an optional snowmobile specific GPS unit with a dedicated mounting place under the guage cluster. IMO opinion smartest thing they could have done. There is nothing wrong with the old guage cluster, in fact it is very...
No info given, but look at the 2019 brochure and start shopping.
Only question I could imagine is if another model will get EPS. Oh, and what color is in the rotation for this year.
Can anyone post a picture of how the rear arm shock is attached to the skid of a 2015 L-TX? We just went through the service manual and saw at least 3 different placements in diagrams. Mine is setup with the "C" bracket above the idler wheels and the open part pointed towards the rear. At...
I had Shock Doc C27, AKA Cannondale 27, revalve my rear shock. Of all the mods I've played with this, by far, made the most tangible difference to how my Viper rides. It went from a suspension tuning nightmare to handling exactly like it should with only a couple tweaks of ski and center...
I tried to remove the rear shocks without pulling the skid and found it pretty much impossible. With the location of the bolts I simply could not get a wrench or socket on them with enough leverage to get them off without destroying the either the bolt or nut.
After missing any chance at ordering a new Yamaha during Power Surge I was giving serious thought into ordering a ZR8000 so I stopped by our Cat dealer today to discuss pricing. Unfortunately, before I got there I saw an article that said Cat intended to bring the ZR 7000 back into the lineup...
All of Yamaha manuals lied to me. Viper, Grizzly, and Viking and I've had cold start problems with each caused by tight valves. All before the 2,000 mile mark to boot.
I assume you have checked your plugs and made sure you are getting a strong blue arc when grounded and turning over? If the valves are adjusted correctly and you are having starting issues other suspects would be fuel delivery or spark. Since you are starting and running fine after warming up...
I tried to get out of the sport, but found I simply couldn't do it so I picked up a used 2015 Viper L-TX late this season. It has 5,600 miles on it and I'm not sure of the level of maintenance the previous owner performed. With the price increase of 2023 sleds I want to run this one until it...
Where is the pricing being mentioned coming from? I talked to both my Yamaha dealer and Cat dealer and neither knew pricing yet. They did both say that they would discount spring orders and price would be higher, but they thought it would be pretty close to 22 pricing.
I'm looking at buying a new pair of skis and have narrowed it down to XPTs or Curves. I'm leaning towards the XPTs with 6" shapers. Does anyone have suggestions based on running either one? If yes, which ski and carbides have worked the best? My goal is to minimize push and darting.
