Me as well, which is why I am wondering about the range on a tank of gas. If I leave Minocqua and head to Gogebic there is a long stretch where there isn't gas available other than a few bar pumps that I prefer to avoid.
Just about went the Poo 850 direction, but in the end I couldn't stomach that choice because of reliability questions. Talked to my Yamaha dealer today to try to get an idea of what would be available by next winter and that looks bleak to say the least. So here I am thinking about putting a...
I don't think that it is going to matter. Talked to my dealer today about what I can expect to see on the market by fall. He told me that Yamaha released the list of sleds available, and each dealer could order 3 per day until they were gone. Well, there were only 150 available and they were...
Kind of the idea. What I'm thinking is that Yamaha release a list of what is available and let dealers start taking deposits for fall delivery at guaranteed pricing. We put our $500 down to lock it in, the dealers keep it off their floor plans, and the leftover stock starts going away.
I've seen some pretty amazing pricing on Yamaha sleds the last few weeks. With-that-said, I know the idea is to entice buyers into buying now to move inventory. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have a problem parting with $10K for in March or signing up for payments all summer just to...
Just saying that these sleds could have been on dealer floors all winter but showed up after Power Surge was announced. Getting rid of old stock is good and Yamaha is being aggressive doing so.
Went by the local Yamaha dealer and there are Yamaha sleds coming out of the woodwork. And prices, a brand new 17 Winder LTX for $12,200 and a 17 Viper LTX LE for 8,999 with 5 year warranty before tax! I would imagine all dealers are getting these new allocations. Would you walk by a 17...
I am an accountant in Northern WI. A good snow year can shift gross revenue by 75% for the hospitality businesses here. Yes, snowmobiling has a significant impact.
Lol, that was too much information. Shall we open the can of worms involving buyers speculation, futures purchase, and actually paying more for a commodity at times than I do at the local hardware store?
As this season winds down I am planning the summer Viper project. I think that I am going the all Ulmer route and have a few questions for anyone that has also gone this way. My thought as of now is this; Ulmer clutch kit, full Ulmer exhaust, and the Power Commander.
My questions are;
Does...
So much talk about Yamaha this and Textron that lately, some of which is based in fact and a lot of which is based in drama queen antics and trolls stirring the pot. Why is Yamaha at the bottom of the sled market share stat? In my opinion there are two reasons; first, they committed to an all...
Yup, they spent a ton of money designing an engine specifically for the Pro-Cross chassis. Problem is that now Textron owns the Pro-Cross chassis the have Yamaha by the short hairs. Smart move on Yamaha's part, dump the Pro-Cross dependency, develop their own chassis that optimizes the 998...
All I can say is this, I haven't talked to anyone at Yamaha, still waiting to corner him when he comes in for his once a year appointment, but there is still a full crew working at the compound here.
